Balck Christmas has been put up there from horror critics, its very well recommended.
Bob Clark had a nice little run especiallyw ith low key and low budget chillers; dead of night, children shouldn't play with dead things and black christmas. He did drop the cult classic, Porky's..lol

See THAT movie I didn't fall for. Had no interest in seeing it and one of my homies saw it and was very disappointed. He did that so hopefully I wouldn't have to go through that.
I think I'm just looking for a horror flick to see and I like the idea of a place showing you your sins and torturing you or killing you based on what you committed in life, similar to Dante's the Inferno

Yea I love that idea as well!..and they almost did it right with EVENT HORIZON, but it fell apart too...
The only flick to do it right was the OG Tales from the Crypt with Ralph Richardson...

is it a coincidence that black christmas also had that demonic vulgar type jargon likewise the exorcist featured with regan/pazuzu..the twisted laughter and certain curse words were quite similar at times, it was easy enough to connect the two IMO..but it may be a stretched to say somebody was biting..
Yea if its laughably bad and not watching paint dry, so-damn-serious unfunny, then you can have fun in the theater

You may have a point there, fam...but William Friedkin is one really fukked up individual and if you look at the history of demonic possession in real life, each case does have that type of language in it
I will defend the Friday the 13th OG series (not that garbage ass remake a few years ago) to the death...that series is pure fun fukkery
might hate me breh but I don't mind the remake at all. But I looked at it like this: When I'm comparing a movie to cinematic greatness such as Jason Takes Manhattan or Friday the 13th 3D, I fail to see how the remake is garbage. It was visceral, it didn't hold back, it had a coherent story unlike Jason takes Manhattan and still maintained some of the tongue in cheek flavor of the series. I think it got a bad rep due to it being a remake but to me, it's better than a lot of the movies in that series or at least equal to them
