The only thing I really like about Sinister is the atmosphere and soundtrack, which adds to the atmosphere. Other than that it falls kinda flat for me

What was your take on the story?

The way I figured it that cult needed him to kill wantonly to fulfill some kind of ritual of theirs. Not to kill under orders or as a soldier as he had previously, but with a bloodlust like how he did that child snuff ring and the people in the woods. I got no idea to what end tho, something to do with him giving over his soul to evil?

i enjoyed conjuring, sinister, and insidious, the 1st two PA movies, the ring, session 9, this foreign movie the orphanage, 1408 (weird ass movie, felt like a bad trip haha) etc.

legend of hell house. One of my fav contemporary Haunted House films, its pretty ambient but atmospherically chilling, it will ice freeze your bones.

Psh that's my bad breh we're talking about the same movie and for the longest time I been calling it the legend of hill house good flick. I'd also suggest the original The Haunting. Such a dope flick and definitely one to watch with the lights off at night
