Alright I just finished and I take this back. It’s one of the worst movies in general I’ve ever seen.

just a bunch of nonsense that tries to be explained by unnecessary and pointless twists at the end.

And not a single drop of “so bad it’s good” fukkery to save it.
Damn lol. As soon as I saw that they changed the premise of the movie from the initial Fantasy Island show from the 80s (or whatever decade that was), I lost interest. They billed it as Fantasy Island when it had absolutely nothing to do with what made the show so acclaimed. That’s an insult to the original producers

you’ll make an excuse for everything, just give credit where it is due :what:that’s not the only publication that has written accolades on that movie

Anyone check out SEA FEVER? I've seen people on Horror Twitter hyping it and likening it to "THE THING on a boat".

I have it on deck to check out later today.

This was pretty good.

Builds up some nice tension and for a low budget film they did a pretty good job on the sea monster.

Only wish everyone wasn't made to be so stupid but that seems to be par for the course for these types of movies.

Is there a film that you find too disturbing to enjoy?

Henry always does that for me. It's so low budget yet it leaves me feeling genuinely gross, way beyond any sleaze flick. Succinct in it's depiction of serial killers, Henry's nihilism is the flat note that has been seared into my head. It's like the horror version of a Linklater film.:lolbron: It's the worst kind of slice of life film you could ever get -- instead of following the day to day of harmless dreamers or teenagers, Henry follows the life of a man who somehow makes murder seem routine and mundane.

People always tell kids "it's just a movie," "it's not real" and etc. but you can't really say that about Henry.

Edit: This YouTube channel popped up on my recommended, and I've been enjoying his break downs. He basically just explains the synopsis, but he can be pretty funny.

Mine would be any cannibal type movies and The Human Centipede. Movie is far too disturbing - only movie where I was physically disgusted.

Not bad. Watching this right now. Creepy.
“brilliant man marries a beautiful woman and shows her his home, stating that it's all hers - except a room she can't enter. First chance she enters and discovers what might be human cloning. When the husband returns she pays the price.”

I watched this movie on Shudder called EXTREMITY this morning.

It was an absolute chore to get through.

Basic premise is this woman with emotional issues decides to use a haunt as her therapy. Of course things go wrong and it all boils down to about 90 minutes of some screeching white woman being harassed by weirdos in skull masks.

Just turrble, turrble, turrble.

So I watched Amsterdamned last night on Shudder.

It's okay but here's my main issue with it. I like the set up and the slasher attire. And love the setting. A scuba killer fukking up people in the canals is a dope idea. And the kills are gnarly as hell. But the movie feels flat and the reveal of who the killer is....:francis: I won't go into spoilers but that shyt was :francis: as :francis: can be.

Plan on watching Last Drive-In tonight. Can't wait

I liked this movie.
Very cool concept.
It helped that it had Ciaran Hinds and Carla Gugino in it. Those two are rarely in things I don't like.

That’s what initially drew me to watching it- Carla Gugino. Very underrated actress. She definitely brought a certain presence to the movie. This movie was a real original concept. Kind of artsy and subliminal with a few unexpected twists.
