Just finished Doctor Sleep. Enjoyable film

I was looking at the Shinning cast and I felt nothing but

I hate looking at through older films and realizing people are dead or really old and out of shape.

I don't anyone has ever had this talk. But is Patrick Wilson a horror legend?

He is in my book. Love Patrick Wilson and he's one of the pillars of the genre this decade. I think its easier for horror to crown women as legends and we sometimes overlook the men unless they're in makeup or behind the camera

Straight up legend. Probably the biggest male actor (protagonist) horror wise? If not the list is very short, whoever is ahead of him.

And yoooo... I was wondering why children or women are the best when it comes to horror? Like I agree with the formula but I really can't come up with an answer.

I don’t know if they’re the best as much as it’s easier to empathize with them and horror is always about empathy. It’s tough to feel for a guy because we don’t always handle emotions the right way. Either we don’t let them out at all and we’re closed off or we let them off in the wrong way. On film anyway. So it’s rare you get a three dimensional male character
