I see it’s often grouped in with mumblegore but I don’t really feel You’re Next fits in with that group. It feels much more polished and it’s too choreographed.. but if there’s some elements of improvisation in those action sequences that maybe I’m not remembering then correct me
just found this thread. I have the Shudder channel subscription. Nightmare Cinema was pretty good movie. Also have to recommend Autopsy of Jane Doe. watched some old school joints a couple weeks ago like Sleepaway Camp and Chopping Mall

Lol. This is exactly why I haven’t been watching much horror lately - watched this in parts yesterday and the night before. This was a good movie- had to digest it all. A lot of underlying stories. Scorcese, Bobby D, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci - masterpiece. I see why it needed to be 3 hours.
Movie night was depressing tho - how they would do the quick screenflash of who got clipped and how. That “fish in the back of the seat”scene had me dying.

Yeah it timed nicely for the holiday.. have some time to lay around the house for the long weekend so it was fun to break it up and watch over a few parts and go back to remember parts from the first act. I probably watched it 1.5 or almost 2 times overall hahaLol. This is exactly why I haven’t been watching much horror lately - watched this in parts yesterday and the night before.
