Exorcist my favorite horror film of all time and i’d give that an A+, all these modern joints gotta pass the test of time before they get anything higher than an A from me
and one more hot take before i go, The Ring changed the game more than Paranormal Activity
Nah that sucks not generous with grades, homie. This isn’t a test where the student either gets it right or wrong lol. It’s personal taste.
But yeah the ring changing the game more? Nah. It ushered in a slew of Japanese horror remakes sure but that didn’t become the defacto horror movie for 5-6 years like found footage did. shyt paranormal helped knock off the saw franchise. Not saying it was the only contributor but it was a big one
So in a head to head who you all got; which is the better movie?

Conjuring if you’re forcing me to pick. The clapping scene, the shyt in the girls’ room, anything in the basement, warrens as characters, plus the little bit of stuff happening at their house. Insidious is dope but it’s like a rung below the conjuring

i like both but Insidious gets the edge, i'm a fan of fukked up endings moreso than happy endings in horror
i'd rate the Insidious series like this

Watched session 9 for the first time in at least 5 years. Still stands up. I wish more horror movies would go for the multiple personality disorder angle. Listening to those tapes always gets me

if you’re looking for content based fukkery and off brand horrocomedy then Netflix but if you’re looking for actual horror content and more cerebral then Shudder is my go-to.
