Top 60 horror flicks of all time

What intern did they get to pull this one ? :russ:
Top 20 is......interesting
Link below

Big Hitchcock fans, I see. The Birds, Sixth Sense, and Midsommar in top-10 all time? All reaches in my book. The It remake and A Quiet Place top-15!? The Host making top-30, probably just to get Bong Joon-Ho in there.

Yeah, this list is nuts. I know horror is subjective, but this feels like they just looked up a bunch of famous directors and threw them on there. How does the Menu get on a horror list at all, let alone top-50!? This has to be some trolling.
It’s a “I just subbed to the Criterion Channel and prestige movies are the only movies to exist” ass list if I’ve ever seen one.

Have heard really good things about it. Weapons, that is. They already had me at horror Magnolia.

Hopefully they got Julia actually doing something tho because she was just wandering around aimlessly in Wolf Man…

Aight

in the name of movies absolutely no one wants to watch :russ:
Project lead for 3 projects (one finance, 2 I.T.) this year so i don't want to watch "good" horror
because i am on calls most of the day and don't want to get involved in something and have to walk away from it.

Piglet (2024)

its like a cross between TCM remake and the Devils Rejects (in tone)
Story sux, but it has decent kills and FX
decent time waster.

the little mermaid (2024)
( Lionsgate.......really???)

okay this one actually surprised me.
they tried - the lore was actually..........interesting, even if the movie isn't.
its a stealth Lovecraftian flick
the mermaid was a high priestess of Dagon , working on his return to take over the earth
its actually a setup movie as well, briefly mentioning other fairy tale monsters

got a wish.com Sophie Dee as the mermaid

is it a good movie ...Nah... but if you want to waste some time - give it a go

Control Freak felt like a Smile ripoff to me. Kelly Marie Tran is a good actress, but that's about all this has going for it. The CGI is terrible, jump scares are all mistimed, and the characters are all unlikeable. It's like they kinda wanted to do a creature feature, but then also wanted to do body horror, but also wanted to make past trauma horror...and only got halfway through each idea.

2.5 outta 10

Popeye the Slayer Man seems like a perfect follow up to the Little Mermaid and Piglet watch party :mjlol: . Blood and Honey birthed the worst horror genre ever.

Popeye "popped" up on the Plex share.
Got some 3-4 hour project workshops. The laptop camera will "malfunction"

Expect a review soon :russ:

Can't be worse than Popeye's revenge . Had that Nikka squaring up on muthafukkas like Aaron the plumber with power.:russ: :dead:

Before the “Powell is in too many movies” and “Hollywood has no original ideas” posts come out, I gotta say I’m fully onboard for Mollner possibly being attached to a TCM project.

This and Cregger with Resident Evil. I see the vision…

I’d be shocked if Powell isn’t just a producer tho, bro’s extra busy.

Strange Darling was great, and I'd be genuinely curious to see how Mollner approached TCM. It's a really interesting combo, especially if the studio doesn't run too much interference.
