Finally watched Winnie the Pooh 2 or whatever.
It's bad.
The first movie was a Friday the 13th clone. It told a story just solid enough to do the killings.

In the second, they focus more on the origin story, killing is second, though there is plenty of it, especially with the rave in the third act, they never seem to run out of bodies.

You might like it cause it's gory enough, I cannot

These "disney" horror movies feel more and more hopeless. It's a shame too, because some of classics have gruesome enough origins to work. I'm pretty sure Peter Pan was killing Lost Boys that got too old.

Sounds like they really flexed their creativity and writing abilities :mjlol: .

I feel like I have to watch it and have an opinion, because my friends and fam are gonna ask about it. But I really might skip watching it altogether.

The date for Maxxxine crept up on me. I've been wanting to watch more Giallo movies so that should give me something to watch for the Summer.

I'm going to start with some Dario Argento movies. Last year I've already seen Suspiria and Phenomena. I'm following this website's list for a watch order Where to begin with Dario Argento

I don't know if it's accurate. They say to watch:
The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970)
The Cat o’ Nine Tails (1971)
Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971)
Deep Red (1975)
Suspiria (1977)
Inferno (1980)
Tenebrae (1982)
Phenomena (1985)
Opera (1987)
The Stendhal Syndrome (1996)
Sleepless (2001)
Dark Glasses (2022)
Giallo (2009) maybe

If this list doesn't look good please let me know.
Check all Edwige Fenech:fire: flicks too:obama::smugdraper:

I co-sign the character/creature designs as underwhelming and repetitive overall. The only compliment I'll give is that at least it makes unique creature designs stand out. The creature in the Ritual is dope to me, mainly because there's nothing like it. I just started Channel Zero season one, and the teeth creatures are awesome.

On that Barbarian note, I agree about Justin Long carrying the second half as a hateable character. I LOVE the first half of Barbarian, but that's all before the creature is revealed. I like it most when Georgina Campbell explores the empty house and hidden creepy rooms. Once the mystery let up, I'd probably check out mentally if not for actively rooting for Justin Long to get his just deserves.

What is Long legs?
Long Legs is a movie about an FBI tracker going after a serial killer who leaves a bunch of occult symbols and clues. Word of mouth about it has been glowing. Teasers and trailers have all been fantastic.

To top it off, the team behind it is legit. You wouldn't notice it from the teasers or trailers, but Nicholas Cage is playing the psycho here. Osgood Perkins is the director, and he's behind one of my favorite horror movies (The Blackcoat's Daughter). He has an excellent handle on atmosphere, and has never fallen victim to cheap scares...on the downside, I'd categorize him as a patient filmmaker but that easily could be "his movies are a little slow."

Here's the trailer, I don't think it gives away too much, but I think most horror is best watched blind. I'll just say that the vibes here give me something akin to Silence of the Lambs or Seven.
