I was enjoying it the past 6 months because of all the newer joints. Many of which get theatrical releases as @storyteller mentioned.

I think I got it free for 2 years :pachaha:
Shudder's been weird because it goes through long droughts but then it'll have a few months of fire dropping. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the options recently. I'ma try and make a list of the most watchable ish that's currently Shudder, so heads with the coupon codes can eat :mjlol:

Let us know how the sequels are. I saw all the sequels when I rewatched Scanners a year or two ago.

I'm also looking for slasher franchises to watch during the summer. I might just stick to 80s Slasher for a summer watch through.

I watched Hatceht 1 & 2 and need a break from the franchise right now. The formula for the movies got too repetitive to me to watch over and over. It's a lot of people standing in front of plants like this

Arguing about what to do. Then Victor Crowley pops up brutally killing someone as the survivors runaway, and then they do the same thing with 1 or 2 less people. I definitely saw the first 2 before. I still enjoy the movies for what they are.
That franchise is just for the gore and killfest, like Terrifier. You don’t watch them for the story/plot. :heh:

in a violent nature might be fave horror flick of the year so far.

fun and good kills.

am curious about one thing
didnt the ranger guy say they couldn't just give back the locket?

cause isnt that what ol girl did, and he didnt pursue?

was suprised we got some face time, thought they'd keep it a mystery

what was their original plan? bear trap and burn him?
That ranger guy was a moron who got himself and those campers killed. Planning some elaborate scheme to incapacitate, chain up and drag the undead killing machine through the woods instead of just throwing the locket at Johnny's slowful ass when he showed up in that Steampunk Minions helmet.

Saw The Watchers last night.
The first half was really good but it fell off by the second half.
M Night's kid inherited a lot of her dad's good points as a storyteller but she got some of the bad stuff from him too.

I love the first and third movies.
That second one was ass though.
The second one tried to be straight up horror without the cheeky humor of the first and third films and you need that dark humor for the Victor Crowley character in my opinion otherwise it just becomes a slog to get through.

I really liked the first two-thirds of the movie. The finish had like three different parts that could have been the ending and a really obvious twist mixed in.

Young Shyamalan has potential. But the cut of Watchers I saw was fairly mid...I have to rewatch with the CGI and score completed before I fully judge. I saw an incomplete version.

There were two shots at the end where the CGI was like CW superhero show bad and this is coming from someone who usually doesn't get bothered by dodgy CGI.
