open house (1987)
typical late 80's synth driven slasher
Giallo influenced
got the Adrienne Barbeau stimi
slow paced , kills could be better
its not the greatest from this era, but if you got nothimng else to watch give it spin for 10 minutes and if it keeps you mildly entertained, keep watching

entire movie on youtube

Just saw that this movie was made by Jag Mundhra who directed some of the best awesomely terrible movies like Hack-O-Lantern, The Other Woman and The Jigsaw Murders. I definitely need to check this one out.

This looks way better than the Poohverse stuff I've seen so far. First, they took a canon event from the OG Grimm's fairy tale version with a stepsister mutilating her foot to fit into the shoe. Second, the shoe to the jugular kill is *chef's kiss*

It still has budget horror vibes for sure. But I'm actually looking forward to this one!

James McAvoy back at it. This looks good!

I finally got around to watching The Strangers and Escape Room.

The Strangers was great and I wish I saw it earlier. I don't normally like invasion movies but this has to be the best one I've seen. The like because you were home is so great. Are the sequels worth watching?

Escape Room didn't do it for me. It might be because I marathoned all the Saw movies last year. I'm not into the traps from that franchise and even though I don't agree with his ideologies Tobin Bell as Jigsaw makes me a fan of that series. Are the sequels worth watching?

The Stranger Things sequel is good, but very different IMO...it was never gonna live up to the first one, because The Strangers is in modern classic territory IMO, but it's a fun watch.

Escape Room is mid IMO...the sequel is more of the same.

Was SHOCKED Natasha Henstridge is in this. I remember from the Species movie and the one with Van Damme in the 90s

Reminds me of most 80s movies/shows, where you were lucky to see a black person (or any PoC) in the entire flick!
Yep. Now that i think of it. Definitely no brehs up in this.

But I am thinking of watching Mauseleum over the weekend . its got Aunt Esther from Sanford and Son in it.

This one wasn't bad on Shudder:

Baghead:

It's got a pretty cool premise, but I wish it didn't rely on CGI effects so often. The plot feels kinda rushed too, so it doesn't get as deep on the most interesting aspects of the story. But it's still a pretty cool movie, thanks to the premise and some good direction. 6.5/10

I did laugh at the ending, but I'll give it a 7.5
