The First Omen, right? May go see it this week. Fennessey pointed out on The Big Picture podcast of an abrasive shot in it that’s NC-17 worthy and was the ultimate reason why the studio picked the film up. I heard rumors beforehand and thought it was fluff for marketing purposes, but it seems like this one actually delivered. Also heard it doesn’t really rely on jumpscares.why is no one talking about the omen in here

How dare you diss my taste in horror movies! The OG one. One person said not worth buying, you say yes.
I’m tempted to go with the other guy’s opinion just because you like Afflicted and MSTT and I didn’t care much for them.
if you like typical 80's slasher horror, with a light message, its worth a buy, if you don't , then its a no
80's horror is an acquired taste nowadays.
its a very underrated Hooper flick. the opening is an homage to the Halloween opening, then the fukkery starts
See I love 80s slasher horror to the point that I can find something enjoyable about even the really really bad ones .80s slashers are hit or miss for me. If anything, I’ll sit on it for some time. How’s the gore and violence? If they’re bloody an violent kills I’ll likely have more interest.
I was shocked by how much I enjoyed The First Omen too especially when I dismissed it after watching the trailer. The First Omen was surprisingly great.
shyt was dark
Solid 8/10 for me
TUBI Halloween rip off

I love slasher films, my favorite sub genre in horror, but I need good violence and gore to like it. That’s why I wasn’t big on The Burning and Stage Fright, which get props in here.See I love 80s slasher horror to the point that I can find something enjoyable about even the really really bad ones .
The Burning is pretty run of the mill but I love Stage Fright. That melding of Giallo with American slasher tropes was awesome to me. Plus I like Soavi's directing style and think he gets forgotten because everyone always focuses on the bigger names (Argento, Fulci, Bava).I love slasher films, my favorite sub genre in horror, but I need good violence and gore to like it.
