^ I went to go catch Schoenbrun’s directorial debut, ‘We’re All Going to the World’s Fair’, back when it came out and was not that impressed by it. Homie next to me straight up walked out, lol. There are a few unsettling moments, but it’s really less of a horror and more of a coming of age mediation on the culture surrounding alternate reality games.

Felt like there were some ideas brought up that could’ve been done justice on a bigger budget, so maybe this one can surprise. The story already sounds better, at least.

Overall, it was a pretty decent show with some pretty predictable winners and some surprises. The fact that they got Robert Eggers to present an award shows how far this YouTube channel has come.
