Synopsis

i thought with him recommending it it would have some horror elements

I’m really pissed how much legit poor, shytty movies are put out, yet my horror script gets a 5/10 even though it’s something different and unique and I’m praised for having it look like a pro script.to torture myself hoping there is at least one good scene or enough fukkery to carry it

I haven't watched any horror movies this weekend. After last weekend and this week I just wanted to watch some corny Rom Coms, I don't know why. I watched Meet The Parents and The Wedding Singer. I've saw them both at a little kid but I enjoyed them more as an adult. I used to hate The Wedding Singer as a kid. After watching this I'm really understand that Wes Craven was on some shyt killing Drew Barrymore in the first 15 minutes of his movie
Other horror movies I watched this week: Ready or Not, You're Next, Return of The Living Dead, and Re-animator.
Ready or Not was actually funny. If you got a girl or dude that isn't into horror this is a good gateway to get them into it. My only issue were the hunters were so incompetent. I'm a sucker for retellings of The Most Dangerous Game since I used to watch The Pest a lot as a kid and read the short story.
You're Next was descent. I kind of saw the last twist coming. This is a good submission in the Home Invasion sub genre. The house was beautiful. I couldn't help thinking of the kids in the family as the dumb asses from Succession
Return of The Living Dead was great. It was actually funny and it had the best Tommy Jarvis in it. The effects still hold up and they did a good job making the Zombies look different.
Re-Animator was genius. The whole cast did well but Herbert West might be my favorite mad scientist. He was extremely arrogant and brilliant which brought along his demise. The special effects and gore were well done. The story was great. I now know why this is so heavily recommended. I think this is a great movie, not just a great horror movie.
