I bought Terrifier 2. Do I gotta watch the first one before this? I ordered part 1, but it won’t arrive for some time. Yes, I know it’s on Tubi, but I want that blu ray quality for :demonic: shyt.
ehh - if you are a completest, it would not hurt
it sort of follows up from the first part , but its not a direct sequel in the sense that it starts from when the last one ended
and you can watch all hallows eve whenever ( its basically Art's first appearance, but not connected to any of the Terrifier flicks)

Best haunting/ghost possession movie that I’ve seen in a WHILE with no gimmicks, decent amount of scare factor, likeable characters - it’s creepy and foreboding asf. :lupe:
Great value Exorcist + Whole Foods 360 brand Insidious +The Ring = Surrogate

Surrogate (2022) Review

Australian paranormal horror Surrogate, starring Kestie Morassi (Wolf Creek) and Jane Badler (TV’s ‘V’), comes to digital platforms this September. Written by Beth King and David Willing, in his feature directorial debut, Surrogate tells of Natalie Paxton (Morassi), a single mother and nurse, who falls mysteriously ill and struggles to stop her family from being destroyed.

Australian horror SURROGATE nods to the likes of THE EXORCIST, with a mother/daughter combo taking centre stage as well as having a man of age with a hat paying them a house visit, but otherwise this is very much its own beast.

A throwback to traditional old-school horror – none of that trying to pass off social commentary as entertainment nonsense here – with plenty of tension and a terrific score, David Willing’s movie proves that showing less is indeed more. It loses momentum in the final stretch, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that SURROGATE is a genuinely creepy flick that is worth checking out.

I’m at 59:03 and unlike most movies I watched of this nature- I’m hesitant to continue not bc it’s stupid or lost my interest, it’s because I don’t want to see what happens to the little mixed girl (main child actress in this) in this- she’s adorable :mjcry:
But curiosity for the macabre overrides my mommy mode so I guess I’m back in 🥹

When are horror movies/creators/ directors/producers going to learn that teenagers don’t gaf about horror movies and go back to making Rated R movies for core audiences for our generation of teenagering when we actually had an attention span and could sit still for at least 1.5 hours 🤓 . All kids care these days are social media, Nintendo switches and xbox, Instagram, Snapchat and making their tik toks :old: they are not concerned with the sanctity of the genre . Damn near Everything they tried to pull teenagers into as the voice of the new horror genre generation has failed - Texas Chainsaw, Halloween Ends, and countless others🤬

“Listen, I’ve done PG-13 films, and I’ve done R-rated films. So I think it’s about whatever is most suitable for the film, and even though M3GAN is a scary movie, teenagers will really dig this. They’ll really like it, and I think it will speak to them in a big way.”
:mjlol:
They’ll think it’s really groovy huh, James, no cap? 😭🙄

I’m watching The Marshes (Shudder) but stopped it to watch the game. Have about 20 minutes left and I gotta say this movie is wack. There was potential in the plot and setting, but it failed to deliver. It coulda been a decent cut and paste slasher but it wasn’t.

Watched Skinamarink last night

Was certainly an experience. very unsettling, glad I saw this at home watching this with a crowd would suck all tension out of it.

Its very much dependent on being isolated and being able to fully take it in.

But this is a very marmite movie. You're either going to get it or hate it.
