once of the greatest horror video games ever made

I wish someone would make a movie out of this ( and Bio shock too)
Closest thing I’m gonna get to a new-gen videogame adaptation of The Thing.
It’s a bit of a throw away answer buried in a longer interview…but John carpenter says there’s only one video game he would turn into a movie
I live for opening night horror. Carpenter doing Dead Space would be one where I try to find a big premier.would risk all kinds of Covid to be there opening night for that one.
Great movie drop, bc I’ve never seen but have been meaning to off the strength of it based on a true account and some hype. Ima try and find it for my weekend movie run.Watched Fire in the Sky last night. That alien experimenting on the human scene looks like it would’ve been a rough day at work for the actor. Made me super uneasy
“It’s crazy. It is unlike anything I’ve ever done, but in the other direction. My favorite way to describe it to people is like ‘Hill House’ is kind of a string quartet, and ‘Bly Manor’ is this delicate, kind of beautiful piece of classical piano music, and ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ is heavy metal. It’s rock and roll.”
“It’s the closest I will get to Giallo.”
“It’s wild. It is colorful and dark and blood-soaked and wicked and funny, and aggressive and scary and hilarious. I’ve never gotten to work on anything like it. We left everything on the field with it, and it’s just bombastic fun. I’m really excited for that to find its way out because I especially think both ‘The Midnight Club’ and ‘Usher’ just go off in their own drastically different directions, and next to each other they’re fascinating to me.”
I watched Deadstream last night based on your recommendation....pure fukkery.Deadstream was a blast. A nice poke at streamer/influencer culture that’s rampant in today’s age. Crew behind it had to have been influenced by The Evil Dead franchise because a lot of the humor was crazy similar to what Raimi would put out. Take out the comedy and it would’ve been the run-of-the-mill, found footage flick that I’ve seen too many times before. Glad it did it’s own thing.
Main lead was intentionally grating on the ears, but he grew on me later on. Dug how they actually kept him as a clout-chasing fiend throughout. The livestream chat felt like its own character, lol. Some of the comments that popped up had me crackin’ up and were dead accurate to what you’d find on Twitch.
at the Mildred & Beef cams.
It’s a low budget project that still manages to be spooky. The abandoned house it takes place in was fairly creepy, could definitely see Michael Myers marking it as his brooding grounds. I see one of the directors here already has a segment on the new V/H/S…will definitely be checking it out. 2022 really is the year that keeps on giving.
I lost it when dude jumped out the 2nd floor window and did a little bounce.I watched Deadstream last night based on your recommendation....pure fukkery.
The go-pro on the ghost girl was hilarious.I lost it when dude jumped out the 2nd floor window and did a little bounce.
Also chat saying Christie was still hot when she's in her ghoul form. Lol.
