As Above, So Below was a good horror film imo.

That, and "Grave Encounters".

Some folks didn't like "Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin" but I thought it was good imo. Then again I was starving for an okay horror film around the time I watched it.
I just finished my post. Accidentally hit submit before being finished smh. But as I said above, the film was giving me a headache. I also have a pet peeve against films that are too dark. It makes sense for the film to do this for accuracy, but from my perspective, the enjoyment of the film is limited. All that running and jumping made certain parts hard to follow with the headache I was already receiving.

The paranormal Activity series worked because the cameras usually stayed in the same spot/location. Easier and clearer to follow.

I liked As Above, So Below but I feel like it kinda gets gassed in the horror community. I always see it listed as one of the best found footage movies and I don't rate it that high. The concept is better than the execution IMO for reasons stated (it's disorienting to the point of confusion and the plot is a LOT to take in on first viewing).

I've only watched Night of the Demons 1 but now I wanna go find the sequels and peep them. Frannie was my dreamgirl.

Haven't peeped any horror to throw in here. But I Came By on Netflix has strong thriller vibes and I enjoyed it...thought it ran about 10-15 mins longer than it had to, but it was still damned good at its high points.

Go see Barbarian brehs and brehettes :noah:

Like @8WON6 said it starts slow, but the second and third half is pure :whoo::ohhh::lupe::whew:

BTW: I didn’t know Justin Long was in this movie.

It’s got Bill Skarsgård in it :ohhh:

Seems he’s one of those actors who sticks to horror films.

Love when actors/actresses stick to a lane that shows them love

It’s wild how Justin Long came back out of nowhere and finessed himself into another horror classic. He was funny as fukk in this. :russ:

Love seeing protagonists acting rational in dangerous situations rather than giving in to the usual, all-out stupidity horror trope. Characters making dumb decisions will be a mainstay in this genre, but I dug how this film twisted it in a way that’s relatable.
