The twist (if you can even call it that) is transparent at the start of the film - I don't think it was intentional. It certainly doesn't play its cards close to its chest. Once you realize it, it makes the whole thing anticlimactic, and the built-up tension goes to waste when it doesn't peak with the reveal in the third act. Especially since it doesn't offer any insight into the brothers' kinship and the grief that comes with a brother losing his twin, which makes the violence and the story seem rather barren and trivial.

I just found out about this like 5 days ago by accident when I ran across this article :
This Retro Horror Movie Has the Sexiest Costumes You’ll See All Year
Seems to be reviewing well, but flying under the radar. It got a limited release on November 11, so I'm guessing that it's maybe still in some theaters, but I haven't really researched too much.
It has that 60's/70's Technicolor look to it, and from what I've read, the acting is similar to how they used to do it back then as well. Basically, another nostalgia/retro horror movie. There's been quite a few over the past couple of years. Kiss Of The Damned (2012) seems like it was drawing upon some of the same influences although it didn't go all out with the look and feel the same way this seems to be doing.
