Such a fun movie and then bam, dark and creepy as hell. Loved it. I watched Clovehitch Killer after and that one was good too, but definitely not fun lol.
That turn from Goonies style coming of age movie to full blown horror show was jarring but amazing at the same time.

Clovehitch KIller is a good movie mostly for the surprisingly stellar performance that Dylan McDermott gave. He dove into that character was gusto.

Don't know why i keep getting invited , i post like 3 times a month in other threads so my visibility has got to be low
95% of my posts are in here and the sci fi thread .

let me know if i need to spoiler - do not want to advertise other forums on this site
I've been to that site before. It was definitely a bit dry the last time I was there.

I watched Frailty last night because I forgot what the plot was. I got it mixed up with the other blue collar white father horror films around that time, Stir of Echoes and White Noise. Movie was pretty good. I'd recommend seeing it once.

"Candy"
A five night event, premiering May 9 on Hulu. Candy Montgomery is a 1980 housewife and mother who did everything right—good husband, two kids, nice house, even the careful planning and execution of transgressions—but when the pressure of conformity builds within her, her actions scream for just a bit of freedom. Until someone tells her to shush. With deadly results. Starring Jessica Biel, Melanie Lynskey, Timothy Simons, Pablo Schreiber, and Raúl Esparza. Three-time Emmy nominee Robin Veith (“Mad Men,” “The Act”) wrote the pilot script and will executive produce. Nick Antosca (“The Act,” “Brand New Cherry Flavor”) will serve as executive producer under his banner Eat the Cat along with Alex Hedlund. Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple (“The Sinner,” “Cruel Summer”) will serve as executive producers for Iron Ocean. Michael Uppendahl (“Fargo,” “American Crime Story: Impeachment”) directed the pilot and will executive produce.

Candy got that fat cat

The Sadness was awesome!
It seemed "inspired" by the Garth Ennis comic book called Crossed where a virus turned people into violent murderous sex maniacs.

And this is exactly why I stopped watching it

@storyteller - I saw your write up review too. I couldn’t make it through this movie, it was tewww much for me. As soon as I saw the zombie raping the other zombie, the flash of the zombie’s naked butt running down the street, and the zombie gang smashing that man’s you know whats between the pole, on the basketball court. I shut it down. I couldn’t hang past that point. That was too much shock and awe for my fragile female state of mind and eyes at that moment. Sorry fellas.
:deadrose::deadrose::palm:
I could deal with the zombies stabbing up the people on the train in the kneck and the buckets of blood shooting up on to the train roof, the girl getting knifed in the eye but my eyes had seen enough after 30 mins with the sexual violence. That movie is so brutal - it makes Train to Busan seem rated PG.

You definitely cut it off at a good point...it gets a lot more depraved for a couple of scenes in particular near the end.

I watched Candy over the weekend.
Not sure what it was about the mini-series that left me cold because all of the performances were very good and I have been fascinated by the subject matter for years but something about the whole thing just didn't work for me as much as I wanted it to.
Not saying I didn't like it or anything just that it didn't grab me like I was expecting it to.

Poor Molly...:damn:

That's a scene that I don't think I'll be able to remove from memory...yeeeeeeeesh.

I watched The Night House last night an really enjoyed it. The guy that directed this is directing the Hellraiser reboot. I got high hopes for that movie now after watching The Night House.

Definitely one of my favorite horrors from last year. I'm def hype to see what happens with the Hellraiser reboots (there are two if I'm not mistaken, Child's Play style). I really liked the plays on perspective that the Night House did (rotate a camera to show you a hidden form type-ish). I think that stuff could work really well with the lament configuration and the world on the other side.

Hannibal Season 2 episode 8-I’ve been skating through this series.

This episode - the BIU finds a dead body inside of a horse. The caretakers think the horse is pregnant- they cut upon the horse’s stomach bc they expect a baby horse but a body comes out
:mjtf:

Will, Hannibal, and Larry Fishburne at the dinner table

Hannibal : Beautiful fish, Will.

Will: It was my turn to provide the MEAT

:laff::mjlol:= x2=
aJtTkx2oagVPgtcN7

the fact that they know he’s a cannibal but can’t prove it, and have to act like he’s not a suspect is crrrraazzy.

Dr. Alana Bloom is an idiot. Sleeping with Hannibal- she’s an idiot. Like wtf- she friendzoned Will bc she’s scared of her feelings for him and wants to maintain professional boundaries but had no issues smashing Dr. Lecter. She’s mad at Will- disloyal dumbass, I thought she was the Smart composed one. How tf is Freddie Loundes coming across more likable than Alana this season so far??
:dahell::dahell:
andddd Beverly’s death :picard::sadbron::sadbron:was the most shocking this season IMO - I was disappointed, I liked her character - she gave the team balance. He literally sliced/spliced/filleted her and another shocking moment was how she was displayed in that glass “tomb”- like a museum wax figure
