Based off you and ST’s feedback My inner curiosity is telling me to finish watching the movie to see what happens but my rational mind is saying hell no bc it’s probably a scene that I’ll regret. I’m conflicted
Based off of your first tweet about how you felt about the part of The Sadness you did watch I would recommend not going back because I'm pretty sure you won't like the scenes storyteller and I are talking about.

Torn Hearts
Blumhouse Television and EPIX present this horrifying tale set in Nashville's Country Music scene. Two friends, rising artists on the brink of a big break, will do just about anything to realize their dream – including taking a pilgrimage to the legendary and reclusive Harper Dutch’s mansion in the hopes she’ll record a song with them. While their life-long idol seems intent to help, the visit devolves into a twisted series of mental and physical torment as the pair discover Harper – and each other – may have other motives. With no other choice and desperate to record a song, the duo must go to dangerous lengths to prove their dedication to their dream of becoming Nashville’s next country music stars.
Starring: Katey Sagal, Abby Quinn, Alexxis Lemire, Joshua Leonard, Shiloh Fernandez
Watch at home on Digital May 20

Nope not going back. I’m good.
:hubie:
Gives too much “Cannibal Holocaust” vibes - another movie that I’ve never seen and never plan to see. Based off the commentary about it - that’s enough warning for me.

I watched the Wicker Man with Nic Cage the other day and I swear it's the most entertaining movie I've ever seen lmao. When he just started kicking ass towards the end I was losing it. Definitely going on my list of classics.

Tryna come up with my midyear horror picks:
Best Horror of 22; Best original horror; Best sequel; Dopest concept (for movies that were creative but my have been limited in other ways ie: budget); Worst horror movie; Best Popcorn horror (for lighter and more fast-paced type joints); Best Foreign Horror

I think that's what I'm running with. I'm gonna try to catch up on the horror movies I've missed that caught my eye so that I can cover everything.

So far I've got -
Best horror and best original: X

Best Sequel: Scream

Dopest Concept: Choose or Die

Worst: The Seed

Best Popcorn Horror: Fresh

Best Foreign horror: The Sadness

There are few things funnier than Nicolas Cage running around that island putting the beats on people.

I'm going to have to gather my thoughts to come up with my picks.
Good categories though.

This is a good idea - I'll have to think about it and come up with my list too for posting.

I can say with no hesitation that the WORST highly anticipated horror movie is: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022

Best Popcorn Horror - Fresh and Halloween Kills
Best wide release horror movie that actually was not marketed as a horror movie: Doctor Strange, Multiuniverse of Madness
