I'd go see that Ouijja....After 'Lights Out', I made a commitment to not watching anymore C level horror, tossed out for a quick profit, with no true art or effort, washed out set design, bad acting, overuse of CGI....I'll have to see what people say.

Oujia is now at 81%.
Curious to see how the audience reaction is.
Finally watched The Witch 
Late pass I know.
I can see why the majority of audiences didn't like it.
But I loved it. It really was a masterpiece on tone and atmosphere. Very visceral. I felt the despair and desperation in every scene.
Really made me think about those times and what it was like.
And the last 30 minutes was
9/10.

Loved 'The Witch' too, I have accused, perhaps unfairly, of people in my life who didn't like it, as being shallow, stupid, and unable to appreciate anything with depth and nuance.
But, 'Lights Out' was a debacle. I left 10 minutes before the ending, it's just that dull and uninspired, not scary in the least, embodies the cheap horror thriller, that are the antithesis of moves like 'The Witch', I suspect, no matter the reviews, Ouijja is the same.

Horror is my favorite genre of movies. I've seen hundreds of them. The Witch was one of my least favorite ever. Apparently I just don't get it but those awful accents made the whole movie damn near incomprehensible and I just never really felt any suspense. To me a horror movie either has to have the slasher violence or something that builds suspense and kinda gets you on edge while watching. Or at the very least, cheap shyt and loud noises to make you jump like Lights Out. Witch didn't have any of that imo.

Lights Out wasn't bad. Not better / scarier movie than the Conjuring but it has its parts.
I'm hearing nothing but good things about Uojia
Ouija was good ..Not entirely scary but creepy.if you know your horror films and shows..catch the subtle refs .
