let me be brief and add on later; The Void..i truly appreciated the effort with the special effects and the style it was shot and synched into create that grim and gloomy atmosphere that we are used to with carpenter and fulci..
the beast itself is something from barker's hellraiser ..the soundtrack throughout will cause shiver to the spine that remind's me of the thing and prince of darkness..more associations with the said films too..the plot and certain kills/body explosions etc..
no signs of cgi..pure latex and fake blood...beautiful!!
only gripe and possible let down was the lighting..it was dark to cover up the budget..so you will not see plenty or a proper scale of the monster/grusome effects but enough to make out what it is..so take it or leave it?
it was a damn great effort in my opinion..
but felt short change..
@The Grendel this has Lovecraft all over it...really feels at home with HP.
