It's a character portrayal but told via audio. So you typically get a series of phone calls with the story unfolding through the interactions. Someone might be wishing happy new year but pause because they see something strange out a window...or a 911 dispatcher might be taking some crazy phone calls. It's that sort of set-up with a lot of familiar actors and actresses acting as the callers.

I got mine as a free subscription for a year when I bought a new iPhone. So far, I’ve only seen 1 apple original series and 1 movie that kept me engaged. Nothing else they have is interesting enough for me to follow through.
If I get bored enough, I might check this out. Only bc they keep shoving it in my face everytime I click on the app.
Does anyone on this thread have the Apple TV app on their tv. Why is the display extra large and bright as hell. Interface hurts my eyes when I open the app. Gives me a headache just to scroll through the selections. You know that feeling like when you’re in a classroom and the teacher turned off all of the lights for a presentation, your eyes adjust to being in the dark; the lights are turned back on, and you have to close your eyes for a sec because it’s too bright,that’s how this app looks.
I feel you 100%! That shoddy layout is half the reason I don't check the app more. I actually went to give See a shot and wound up stumbling on Chapelwaite being available from it. Pure luck because I usually only go in with a specific title in mind since I hate browsing that wack layout.

I do too. It’s the same layout as the actual Apple TV interface, which I had for a long time, so I’m used to it. But yeah I got the free trial with my iPad and have watched Ted lasso and like one movie in the last year.

The sad part is I bet there are some hidden gems on Apple TV. Some of their shows have really good casts, but no kinda promotion behind em.

Morning Show and See are the only two I can say I've seen advertised. I knew Lisey's Story was coming out ahead of time but that was from this thread rather than ads. They really don't advertise their stuff which is weird when you see the casts.
They finally got a show that draws majority of folks in with Ted Lasso but it feels like something still isn’t clicking with Apple TV+.

they dont have a back catalog to get you in where they can promote the new or original stuff. When Disney+ dropped they had a back catalog to keep you busy while they released new stuff.
I didn’t finish watching - noticed a spider was crawling around my room last night. I got my shyt and stayed in another part of the house until I could get someone over to exterminate it. Wasn’t in the mood to finish watching movies. Ended up watching something way off my normal radar to calm myself down. Think it was something wayyyyy left than a horror show; random ASF,. Downton Abbey or whatever the name is
- don’t judge- I was shook and needed a quick fix. It worked- as least it helped me sleep without worrying about a spider crawling into my eye or ear, checking the kid’s rooms. Long story short.Anyway, I’m watching now. I’m getting a B movie Hostel meets Saw kind of vibes. The premise is that an insta influencer obsessed with his internet fame is chosen for a trip to Russia with his friends by a rich magnate. They party and all that; the Russian brings them to this escape room with the warning “nothing is as it seems” . The escape room is a Bolshevik prison. Finally made it to the action and gory part where each of his friends are in one of the rooms designed to trap them with an elaborate means of escape. I’ll let you know when I finish watching. It’s interesting enough for me to see where the story goes.

after the morgue scene with the dead body laying on top of the slab. Don’t spoil it but does the twist have something to do with his YouTube/insta stuff?. I know the Russian host was like “Remember- Nothing is what it seems” so I’m thinking there’s a tie-in.
