I use Hornady Self Defense. I'm sure there are other effective brands but you won't go wrong with this one.

Can any Los Angeles or Southern Cali brehs point me in the right direction? I've shot guns in the past but not knowledgable at all. I want an inexpensive handgun to start with and will buy more once I get my money up. Any recommendations on straps, stores/gun shows and any info I should keep in mind will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure now but I remember Ruger having a reputation for making the finest revolvers money can buy.
I owned an SP101 .357 magnum and it's served me well. I regret selling it.
wasr is a type of AK, in this case Romanian. you have other types like maadi, m70, mak90, etc which are all AKs and vary in quality
