Not familiar with Red @ 28th, but the other places are really the only spots worth checking out in Charlotte. I second Amelie's. It's no cute little bakery you'd find in SoHo or West Village, but it's one of the few nice places open 24/7 in Charlotte. I used to bring my work there with me all the time and check out hipster chicks
I used to go to the Crepe Cellar a lot too, which is also in NoDa.
Breh, I probably saw you out there on a few occasions. Red @ 28th is in the same place, at night they the only spots poppin in that warehouse(for lack of better words). The females be PACKED in that bytch smoking hookah and partying with they girls. You did yourself a great disservice by not going in.
Man I still haven't been to Crepe Cellar, I was gonna go last week with my girl and she hit me with "but they only sell crepes, why would you wanna go there?" :ScustCam: I'm definitely gonna check it out now though.
Another low key spot in NoDa I used to take a lot of my first dates to was Smelly Cat Coffee house, low key in the cut real good for first dates.
But as far as nightlife go, you have
- NoDa - already explained
- Downtown - bars, taverns, epicenter or just sightseeing and walking around
- University area for college parties if you plugged into UNCC, the boardwalk as said.
- Camden Rd./Southend - Art galleries, great restaurants like phat burrito, Prices chicken coop, midnight diner, the food truck friday and saturday events and it's right on the edge of downtown
- Clubs like 935, Cameo, 5th element, Apostrophe
- Strip clubs like Onyx, Nikkis, 124
- and then you got the hood spots...I'm not gonna front, I stopped fukkin' wit hood spots a looong time ago so I don't know what's still poppin' or not.
