"At this particular time, I'm thinking about working back with my father," stated undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather, who revealed that he strongly considering working with his father, world-class trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., when he makes his return to the ring next year. According to Mayweather, his uncle and current trainer, Roger Mayweather, isn't quite as sharp as he once was due to his ongoing battle with diabetes. Concerned about his uncle's health, Mayweather is seriously considering making a change in his corner.
"He's not eating well; he's not healthy. I want him to get healthy and eat better so he can have a sharp mind, because his mind is not as sharp as it once was," Mayweather explained during a recent conversation. "Roger, you know, he's very, very sick at this particular time, so I'm thinking about working back with my father. We really don't know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather as far as who's gonna be the trainer, but I'm leaning towards my father at this particular time."
Although they've had their ups and downs in the past, Mayweather doesn't believe there will be any problems working with his father so long as they can both agree on one thing. "My dad has to realize I'm an adult, you know. I just want my dad to accept and respect me as an adult. I think my dad, the thing is, he still looks at me as his 10-year-old son. I'm a lot closer to 40 than I am to 21, but I have a lot left in the tank and I want to go out there and give the fans nothing but excitement," he added.
This is false.....He'll be a stronger fighter with his dad as his trainer, with Sr he used his jab more and was far more offensive, coupled with the fact that Sr is a defensive special list, expect Floyd to sharpen up his D also, getting back to moving and boxing opening more offensive opportunites, scary to think about Sr working with Floyd tweaking a few things here and there, every fighter Sr has worked with has all improved dramatically, and Floyd the hadest worker n the game can handle his work load.....It is well known that with Roger Floyd damn near trains himself anyway
Hopefully my nikka Roger gets better though

This is false.....
the thing is his father wants all of the credit when in reality floyd learned from all of them(jeff, roger and floyd sr).
I dont see it working. maybe 1 fight. After that shyt will go haywire again. I hope not but I seen this movie already.
That shyt was an embarrassment to boxing.
2 nikkas in their 40's decided to fight each other 17 years later.![]()
Roger is the 1 that comes up with the game plan. That is what he does.Floyd trains himself Roger doesn't do shyt but hold the pads for Floyd, in between rounds do you see Roger say anything but keep doing what you doing, you whipping his ass, or box that muthafukka, have you ever seen Roger giving some real insightful advice
If Roger trained FMJ he would have had fighters left and right lined up. Floyd trains himself, Roger more so manages that situation, which works for them.........
Are you gonna act like Leonard Ellerbe didnt train Floyd in his most dominating one sided performance in Baldamir, like I said FMJ trains him self
Roger is the 1 that comes up with the game plan. That is what he does.
Also Roger Had jeese Vargas since he was a kid.
It' funny seeing Pacquaio fan damage control, JMM nearly ko'ed him in the 5th after he got knockdown......If someone says that JMM just landed a lucky punch, have them watch this video.
