Well, think again about Montoya. He is no longer a member of the BWAA which had 12 members at it's Las Vegas meeting and now has gone from 50 to 49 and sooner or later back to 50 when I get in eventually. Montoya could not afford air fare to Vegas and wrote a statement citing personal problems and spending money on trying to court Kim Francesca of boxing scene as making it impossible for him to fly out and asking for a longer time period for the 40 dollar fee.

It was a weird BWAA meeting as well as Rafael was viewed as a good guy for once getting after a highly viewed media member who had another notable writers credentials revoked due to a personal feud. I think the deadspin piece slamming Rafael also made the media and even Aux guys feel for him since he is so anti-social and unliked by the majority of the guys in the media center

he got caught
plain and simple
and if he didnt get caught like dat, that fight looked like it was headed to the score cards for another controversial decision just like the other 3 fights
the man who was gettin hit by him said he felt no extra power

A DLH Tito rematch

Tito tried to make this happen, but DLH rejected it several times.

Part of it was money, and also he didn't want to move up in weight. Tito had outgrown 147 and moved up to 154. Oscar wanted no parts of it.

Titio woulda beat him again. I'll admit Oscar shoulda won the 1st fight. He had the best performance of his career at the time (and still lost ). Doubt he could do it again.

In a rematch, Tito would win much more convincingly.
