im not giving them a pass but alot of them fighters from the 20s-50s were the best fighters of there era and where from a era of boxing where nikkkas were fighting every week and shyt. sport has changed since then.
but from this ERA, within the last 20 years, there are alot other people who deserve to be in there instead of him. i repsect him for having the wars and bringing the excitement to fans but when u look at his body of work, i can't vote him.
i was talking to a friend of mine a few days ago about should judah and casamayor get into the hall. with gatti getting in, this definitely opens the door alot of guys.

Dude was a human punching bag. He only won if the guy in front of him stayed there and traded punches. His 2 biggest wins were over Tracy Harris Patterson & Mickey Ward, and neither of them were great fighters.
When he fought better competition, (DLH, Mayweather, Baldomir) he lost and lost badly.
Gatti should be nowhere near the HOF.
