I liked how he looked on his last few fights but not sure where to put him

one question though, if he is ready for any champion then why he didn't take the eliminator vs Gvozdyk for the WBC mandatory spot?

Talking about any champions... Kovalev has a fight signes up, Bivol too, Stevenson vs Jack probably comes so that leaves Beterbiev who has no dance partner now. Let's see Beterbiev vs Browne

The most well known fighters out now probably not counting the old ones like Pac

Add to that WBSS, the lively UK scene, the still opening Eastern Euro talent pool and the bigger attention some smaller divisions getting now

I think since Thurman was the mandatory for Floyd all those years and never got that fight plus he used to call out fighters for along time to only not get those fights he feels that he needs to do that in return so I understand where it’s coming from.

But ya I agree with u, he’s not in a hurry to come back points that he’s not hungry any more. I wouldn’t be surprised if he retired soon.

It’s easier when you are the hunter or the underdog. The fire always burns within. Your training has a definite focus on becoming the man by beating the man. Then things suddenly change. When you are the man and everyone is coming for you, it takes a different level of determination to look down the mountain. Your mind switches to protect what you have obtained as opposed to taking what someone else has.

It might look as some welterweight version of Frazier vs Foreman

Porter’s physical power is not something to be underestimated but Spence has a bigger frame and he himself is strong so Porter would likely get hurt if he would bring the fight to Spence as he does to everyone else.

To nake things even worse for Porter, Spence is good on the inside so

I haven’t seen anyone successfully stay inside vs Spence. His distance control is amazing. Porter is determined to get inside though and I don’t think Spence jabs much (I could be wrong on that though). Would be an interesting matchup stylistically. I see Spence as the best at 147 by a pretty sizable margin but Porters style could cause him more trouble than better fighters in the division (Thurman, Garcia etc.)

I mean the top 5 guys basically = the 4 champions + Barrera, Gvozdyk or Jack
so fighting a top 5 guy is almost the same as fighting a champion
