Behind You
Asked who has been the toughest opponent of his career, Canelo replied: "Mayweather.... Mayweather's style doesn't make for attractive fights, it's difficult to land punches. He's not aggressive, he doesn't punch hard at all. I learned a lot [from that fight] and I've grown.

Not a lie was told.
Plus he went on to compliment Floyd too.
Im sure the Stans will all be deep in their feelings though.:beli:

I don't agree. It's not a glamour division and it's not popular in the States therefor it tends to become underrated among fans but it's actually a good division right now with legit, good champions, tbh if we look at the top 10 CW it's better than the top 10 HW (P4P). HW is better than it was like 5 years ago but it still needs improving because it's very top heavy.

edit...: Idk why he should wait on Jack though, I like Jack, he's among my wider circle of favorites but he hasn't done anything at lhw yet, let's wait it out how he does here.

I'd also like Ward vs Beterbeast

to be fair Cotto slumped the allegedly top mw Geale the same way as Golovkin.

I would also like to add to this statement that Cotto made Gaele miss a lot more punches than ggg did against that same "top middleweight"......if you wanna say Cotto ain't elite anymore cool but then we have to start looking a certain division funny in the light when a washed welter is looking just as good as the "best fighter" in the division against the same comp.

I'm shleep tho

Who are some fighters to watch at cw?
Mairis Briedis, Oleksandr Usyk, Yunieski Gonzalez, Murat Gassiev, Denis Lebedev, Krzysztof Glowacki, Dmitry Kudryashov, Ilunga Makabu...

also Lawrere Okolie as a young prospect

you can see most of them in the WBSS from September. I think Usyk, Gonzalez and Briedis are the best ones out of them,

Briedis is rather a counter puncher, very skilled and not afraid to get dirty, I find him the most impressive out of the bunch

Usky is a highly skilled, clinical, although I think a little overrated rangy pure boxer with power

Gonzalez is a pretty skilled Cuban brawler

Lebedev is a vet already, he is a tough boxer-puncher with heavy hands,

Kudryashov is a pretty crude slugger but if he connects with his left hook clean it's over for anyone,

Glowacki is a tough brawler type Polish counter puncher,

Makabu is a Congolese slugger with an awkward style but he lost in an upset against Bellew so he is now just a second tier CW

Gassiev is a 23 yr old Russian (Ossetian) pressure fighter/puncher but he rather looks over 30 tbh, he just beat Lebedev in a split decision what I thought Lebedev edged but no real problem with the decision. I wasn't high on him and he's still not my fav but he grew on me since.

Okolie is a British prospect, ex-Olympicon, athletic, skilled but only a prospect with 3 fights

then you have dark horses like Andrew Tabiti a TMT fighter. He wasn't in with real tests so far, opinions on him are mixed

to be fair tha nature of the two fighters' style also cause this.

Golovkin is an "always forward" pressure fighter even if a methodical one... he gonna eat some punches on the way in. Cotto is different. I think they were equally impressive against Geale but Cotto did it as a small jww so idk

More impressive if you ask me he knocked him the fukk out the same while taking less punishment but he is supposedly washed and the other guy to do it is p4p. :mjpls:

Sept can't get here close enough. :sas2:

I said it in the build up to Ward/kkkov 2 when one guy has only one way to win(ko) vs. a guy who can do a lot of different things to win im betting on the one w the bigger arsenal every time.

Not only do I think Canelo is more skilled, better defensively and A LOT faster. I think Canelo has more of a dog in him than ggg. Cotto who has a top notch jab couldn't land it on Canelo but ggg and his slow ass jab is going to? A nikka who uses high guard, come forward and doesn't counter punch isn't going to beat Canelo. This is going to be a career defining W for him and watch nikkas start saying stuff about ggg that we've been saying for the longest.

Move up and stop ducking 147.

T craw koing nikkas that should even be in the ring with him is boring. T craw vs hank lundy or t craw vs Jean is straight out the book of danny vs salsa or canelo vs smith. T craw is never gonna build a name at 140. There is nobody for him to fight. He need to go to 147 and fight vargas. That would honestly be his toughest fight to date which is embarrassing

Yep:obama:
