He's actually one of the more entertaining pure boxers and is aesthetically pleasing to watch.

Casual fans definitely pay to see him lose, but he's still able to catch the casual fans' eye because of the way he looks dominating his opponent.

You don't become the biggest draw if there is absolutely no appeal at all stylewise.
That Lampley video a couple pages back plays right into your comments. Lampley was saying how boxing is so subjective and when casual fans who view it view it as very simplistic to score and don't view it as technical. This has defined Mayweather's career. The casuals come to see "a fight" and are always disappointed because in their mind Mayweather doesn't fight or runs. Same excuse every time. They don't have the trained eyes to see how pure boxing ability can control their fighters actions and punch output with his defensive mindset and skills. They see Robert Guerrero not land anything for 12 rounds and think that Floyd ran and didn't fight like Kamegai, but can't see that all Guerrero's flaws were shown and he couldn't overcome any challenges. That is why there is a lot of reluctance from die hards to want to converse with casuals, not every fight is supposed to be a brawl.

:dahell:
Crawford taking that stiff b*stard to school was pure joy

Crawford has 5 stoppage wins on his last 6 fights and you cherry pick the one which was an UD (scored 2 KDs on that too) calling him boring
fukk outta here with that :camby:
Crawford is figniting no hopers. If danny fought nikkas like hank lundy, Dierry Jean and Thomas dulmore y'all would bytch for months

Off the top of my head are better than floyd. Floyd best win is pac man after he got put to sleep by Marquez. And he didn't even fight pacman at his best weight. Floyd is a fraudulent legend. Best wins were against nikkas past they prime just like Joe calzaghe.

he fights some of the best available guys in his division, it's not his fault that 140 got weak, he already participated in 2 weightclasses

and who the fukk talked about Danny? Don't move the goal. You said he's boring because of Postol while he has 5 KOs in his last 6 fights. So calling his fights boring is incorrect.

Move up and stop ducking 147.

T craw koing nikkas that should even be in the ring with him is boring. T craw vs hank lundy or t craw vs Jean is straight out the book of danny vs salsa or canelo vs smith. T craw is never gonna build a name at 140. There is nobody for him to fight. He need to go to 147 and fight vargas. That would honestly be his toughest fight to date which is embarrassing

Where I was getting at is if Mayweather fought like let's say a Cory Spinks, I don't think he would be as big as a draw.

People seem to believe people only pay to watch Floyd fight to see him lose. His ability to entertain in the ring is very underrated.

There have been plenty of pure boxers that are awful to watch. Mayweather is great to watch, but the casual fans just leave disappointed because he's not doing more in their minds.

The only fight in his career that is just unwatchable is the Baldomir fight imo. I don't know what the fukk was going on in that fight. I don't know if he was injured, or because he didn't have a trainer, but he was awful in that fight.

Asked who has been the toughest opponent of his career, Canelo replied: "Mayweather.... Mayweather's style doesn't make for attractive fights, it's difficult to land punches. He's not aggressive, he doesn't punch hard at all. I learned a lot [from that fight] and I've grown."
