He's moved up 1 time in 9 years as a pro.
He needs to challenge himself to do something great.
Let's see

yeah I left him out intentionally cause I think he's in the stadium of his career when he won't go back to cruiser anymore to fight relatively low reward fights but he will hunt for only big fights in HW and then retire. don't say that as a bad thing but I don't see him normally continuing his career. Haye, Joshua, other British heavies, maybe a title fight against Parker or Wilder... These are what I imagine in Bellew's future not a move back to cruiserbreh you forgot to add bellew too.although depending on next moves who knows
great post...CW pound for pound prolly has the hardest punchers out of all the divisions...and pretty diverse too..they've been pretty quiet this year but the WSB coming up should give them the spotlight to show out...esp since 3 of the 4 champs are in it...unification i love it
Yeah that fight was terribleWhere I was getting at is if Mayweather fought like let's say a Cory Spinks, I don't think he would be as big as a draw.
People seem to believe people only pay to watch Floyd fight to see him lose. His ability to entertain in the ring is very underrated.
There have been plenty of pure boxers that are awful to watch. Mayweather is great to watch, but the casual fans just leave disappointed because he's not doing more in their minds.
The only fight in his career that is just unwatchable is the Baldomir fight imo. I don't know what the fukk was going on in that fight. I don't know if he was injured, or because he didn't have a trainer, but he was awful in that fight.
Lets see if spence, crawford and canelo are still this entertaining in their early to late 30sYea I love watching Floyd fight regardless. But his performances vs guys like Robert guererro and andre berto were uninspired. But vs Hatton, cotto, Canelo. That's when I can watch Floyd fight all day. I just dont like when he's far superior to somebody and will coast to victory. fukk all that. That's why I prefer pretty boy Floyd to money mayweather. Once money became the driving force behind him, the entertainment factor went down. That's why I'll watch andre ward fight over Floyd any day. Andre has the skill set to coast and go through the motions with anybody. But he still chooses to get in there and get rough. I like the way this new era is heading.
With guys like Spence, Crawford, Canelo, the Charlo's, lubin, lomachenko. guys with legit technical ability but also with that warrior mentality where they're not afraid to get in a war. I love that shyt. This is the most exciting I've been about boxing in a long time. I respect Floyd and im not even mad at him for simply getting that money. But he openly states he could care less about entertaining the fans. That his only goal is to win and get paid. And to be real he's 100% right for having that mentality. None of us fans will care about him when he's an old man. He's not wrong for having that mindset but I don't think fans are wrong either for wanting to be entertained. So I'm glad we're coming into a new era of guys. The Floyd era was fun. But these new guys are gonna bring us another golden age.
Floyd was hurting the shyt out of canelo with his shots all fight
Canelo: Mayweather's Style Doesn't Make For Attractive Fights
Floyd Mayweather Jr will come out of retirement to box UFC star Conor McGregor in August, but Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin are unenthused.
After constant posturing and trash-talking, Mayweather and McGregor finally agreed to a bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26.
The fight has been met with excitement among fans but criticism from boxers, including Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya, who branded it an "embarrassment" before plans were finalised.

Mayweather-McGregor will take place three weeks before the unbeaten Golovkin defends his WBC, WBA, IBO and IBF middleweight titles against Canelo in the same city, and the same venue, on September 16.
And the Kazakh believes there is only one boxing match fans should get excited about.
"Every day there's a show in Vegas and everybody understands the true boxing fight is September 16, not before," Golovkin said after being pressed for his take on the fight.
Canelo asserted that his meeting with Golovkin is the only "real fight" on the calendar at the moment.
"I really don't want to comment about that fight. Our fight is a real fight, it's a fight you demanded and wanted," said Canelo, via a translator.
"It's two fighters at their best, at their peak, and you know what you're going to get."
Mayweather inflicted the only defeat of Canelo's 51-fight career, but the Mexican feels he has developed hugely since their encounter in September 2013 - which took place at a catch-weight of 152-pounds. Canelo was an untested fight at that time, and Mayweather had an easy time dominating him over twelve rounds of action.
Asked who has been the toughest opponent of his career, Canelo replied: "Mayweather.... Mayweather's style doesn't make for attractive fights, it's difficult to land punches. He's not aggressive, he doesn't punch hard at all. I learned a lot [from that fight] and I've grown."

i'm not doubting that, but floyd has always said fukk the fans. he's always bragged that he's not in the sport to entertain. those are his own words. he's still the greatest of this era and was amazing to watch. but as far as pure entertainment, he was never at the top. this is something even he admits and brags about. he's obviously 100% okay with that. I think only his stans are the ones who get offended by it.Lets see if spence, crawford and canelo are still this entertaining in their early to late 30s
Dudes wasnt cautious just because of the money. he was a older fighter with messed up hands. Its really on the other guy to force him into a war or atleast force him to go into his bag of tricks
Roy jones fought similar later in his career
You talkin to one right nowi'm not doubting that, but floyd has always said fukk the fans. he's always bragged that he's not in the sport to entertain. those are his own words. he's still the greatest of this era and was amazing to watch. but as far as pure entertainment, he was never at the top. this is something even he admits and brags about. he's obviously 100% okay with that. I dont remember canelo ever being hurt. He lost decisivley but he held his own for a 22 year old. If u rewatch it, canelo didnt fight a horrible fight. His mistake was thinking that he could box with floyd but he did a better job then pac.Floyd was hurting the shyt out of canelo with his shots all fight
Canelo cried in the ring after it was over lol
His ego hasnt recovered
Mairis Briedis, Oleksandr Usyk, Yunieski Gonzalez, Murat Gassiev, Denis Lebedev, Krzysztof Glowacki, Dmitry Kudryashov, Ilunga Makabu...
also Lawrere Okolie as a young prospect
you can see most of them in the WBSS from September. I think Usyk, Gonzalez and Briedis are the best ones out of them,
Briedis is rather a counter puncher, very skilled and not afraid to get dirty, I find him the most impressive out of the bunch
Usky is a highly skilled, clinical, although I think a little overrated rangy pure boxer with power
Gonzalez is a pretty skilled Cuban brawler
Lebedev is a vet already, he is a tough boxer-puncher with heavy hands,
Kudryashov is a pretty crude slugger but if he connects with his left hook clean it's over for anyone,
Glowacki is a tough brawler type Polish counter puncher,
Makabu is a Congolese slugger with an awkward style but he lost in an upset against Bellew so he is now just a second tier CW
Gassiev is a 23 yr old Russian (Ossetian) pressure fighter/puncher but he rather looks over 30 tbh, he just beat Lebedev in a split decision what I thought Lebedev edged but no real problem with the decision. I wasn't high on him and he's still not my fav but he grew on me since.
Okolie is a British prospect, ex-Olympicon, athletic, skilled but only a prospect with 3 fights
then you have dark horses like Andrew Tabiti a TMT fighter. He wasn't in with real tests so far, opinions on him are mixed
I dont think anyone would say floyd was on top when it comes to entertainment, i just dont see how anyone who studies the sport could look at him fight and say hes boring.i'm not doubting that, but floyd has always said fukk the fans. he's always bragged that he's not in the sport to entertain. those are his own words. he's still the greatest of this era and was amazing to watch. but as far as pure entertainment, he was never at the top. this is something even he admits and brags about. he's obviously 100% okay with that.
