That's obvious logic but Oscar doesn't want to put him in there :manny:
There's already a built in excuse with Canelo not being a 'true MW'. So, I don't sew him losing much in a loss. I only see his brand growing cause the fight would be huge and likely a great fight on top of that. And if he were to win :whoo:. Not to mention they could rematch for a shytload of money in either scenario
I still feel more blame lies with Canelo. If he wanted the fight to happen, it would happen.
Canelo told him to come down in weight, he refused. he gave him 160, 10 mil+, and ppv upside and he refused. little g can make the fight official right now if he wanted to. if little g really wanted the fight to happen, it could happen.

Oscar, imo, had more confidence in his abilities than he has in Canelo's.

Yes, Oscar would've BEEN fought GGG already...no doubt in my mind. I don't think he's as confident that Canelo beats GGG as he was that he beats Trinidad, Hopkins, etc:manny:
This. Oscar was fearless as a fighter. Ever since losing his roster to Haymon, he's been very pragmatic as a promoter. He's got the money maker in boxing, and he wants him to get to Manny and Floyd levels of earning, but we're just not seeing a confidence in Canelo's ability to beat any and everyone. Fighting none of the noteworthy 154lbers in September was super alarming.

kinda true. and I can see people saying they don't have confidence in nelo to beat ggg.

but I kinda think it can go the other way too......ggg can easily ko nelo for less money but increase draw and future purses. plus can be the "A"(when it comes to negotiations) side if nelo wants the rematch.

I understand their point of wanting the right money but business men are also able to project what will happen in the future to a certain extent(especially wall street investors).

so what im saying why not make this investment right now but reap way larger awards(money/legacy wise) later? if nelo is so easy to ko like super woatrio is talm bout?:jbhmm:

I think it has been obvious for a while now that Oscar has no say in who Canelo decides to fight. Why everyone continues to act like Oscar is keeping Canelo from making a fight against Golovkin or anyone else is nonsense.

Why do you say this breh?

the fact that they are so willing to come down for Manny and floyd but don't even wanna drop one pound for Canelo let's you know they respect canelos skills. they even agreed to fight Rosado at 158. the only reason it happened at 160 is because Rosado cancelled the catchweight 2 weeks before the fight. so we know that whole "defending the middleweight belt below 160 is a disgrace" was nothing but more bullshyt from them. they were willing to do it for Rosado but not canelo.

these clowns don't wanna sacrifice anything for Canelo cause they know they're gonna need every bit of strength in order to beat him. little g dikk riders keep saying canelo is ducking but refuse to acknowledge little g saying he'd fight anybody 154 to 168 then refusing to fight canelo at 154. so if Canelo ducked him now, little g ducked him before. :yeshrug:.....they said it loud and clear. they want NO parts of that 154 fade. it has to happen at little g's natural weight or it won't happen at all. canelo finally caves in and gives him 160 and a career high pay day and they say the offer is ridiculous. these guys are just some clowns. look at how they manipulated the SOG situation. they're doing the same shyt with Canelo. we got legit proof of their lies and fabrications. how anybody can believe anything they say is hilarious.:mjlol:

Lubin too.

Spence gonna HAVE to see Lubin before it's all said and done....and yall already know I think Lubin is future #1 P4P:banderas:
The future of #SmokeSquad :blessed:
one 2yrs from being p4p (Valdez) and Lubin is prolly 3yrs away but if he keeps stepping up and dominating at 4 fights a year (3 in 6 months), could be way quicker

This.

Canelo fought Lara, trout, Floyd and he feels that he has risked enough.

- If Vargas were to win tomorrow, could definitely see a Vargas vs. Crawford fight.
i now want to actually go to nebraska to see a t-craw fight..i wanna know what that place is all about for some reason lol

- If Donaire wins tomorrow, would strongly consider him for the HOF.
agree

- Thought the ref should have stopped the fights in Manny vs. Margarito and Algieri.
morally yes for both; immorally not for margo..i had some money for him to last the distance lol

- Shiming's opponent looks like Manny and everyone there calls him mini-Manny. Expects Shiming to win.
the funny thing is zou beat the guy before when zou wasnt really that good...zou has improved somewhat and i still expect him to beat the dude soundly

- Froch vs. Stevenson at 168? Pick'em fight.
its a shame superman came along as 168 was starting to die down..froch is the better boxer, but stevenson was mowing these nikkas down there before going up to 175

- Co-feature for Crawford's fight? Probably Juan Diaz vs. Ray Beltran.
honestly not a bad fight

- Briggs is going to fight Browne in a title fight. Briggs is massively undeserving and his ranking is a farce.
very much so...there is no winning scenario for the fans should either win

- Depending on the timing Showtime may show more than just the main event (Joshua-Molina). They may show Chisora-Whyte.
they should do it..that fukkery with chisora and whyte earlier :russ:

- Does he believe Tarver was on PED's vs. RJJ? Not sure, but Tarver has failed two drug tests. Likely those weren't the only two times he was dirty.
:francis:

- TR wants to make Mike Alvarado vs. Jose Ramirez. Alvarado turned the fight down for December and they are going to try to do it early next year.
mike has looked so shaky..he is fading fast..if ramirez is the betting underdog.id put some coin on him

- Has not followed the Rios vs. Ortiz twitter beef. Both are done and basically have no other fight to make that gets them a good purse. It certainly is possible it could happen.
basics...cash them out

- Does he ever get bored with boxing? Sometimes he gets down because it seems like the people in power do everything they can to prevent great fights and they don't pay attention to their customer base. All it takes is a great fight to get excited again.
i only get bored with the politics that permeate today's boxing like for example the nonsense with canelo-GGG which i am very close to creating a separate thread for like it had to be done for pac-mayweather ..thankfully i stay watching old shyt that reminds why i love boxing so much

Breh, you don't want to see the 100% version of GGG vs the 100% version of Canelo?:dahell:

You acting like you upset GGG wants to have all his strength for a fight with the 2nd best Middleweight & reining Lineal Middleweight Champion:dwillhuh:

Also, Canelo "caved in"?:dwillhuh:

He did say he was gonna face GGG at 160, but keep it real....he can't do 154 anymore anyways, and fighting every Middleweight at a catchweight (if that's what you wanted him to do instead of fighting at 160), when he weighs in on fight night the same weight they do, is kinda pointless. Him vs GGG, at 160 right now, is not him caving in bc he said he was fighting his next opponent at 160 anyways...and GGG ain't gonna be his opponent. :manny:

When Canelo and GGG eventually face off, I want them BOTH to be at their best. I don't wanna see Canelo vs a drained to 154 GGG, when they both can make 160 and be perfectly healthy and at their peak abilities.:yeshrug:

I used to hate on GGG in favor of Canelo, bc GGG ducked SOG & I like Canelo more, but its wack :manny:

Canelo at 154 is 100% canelo. how do you know know canelo will be the same at 160 to even make a statement like that?....he made 154 easily against smith and his stamina in that fight was the best we've seen from him in years. so obviously he's still a natural 154 lber fighter. he's moving up solely for little g. we've never seen canelo at 160 so we can't say he'll be at his best there. we already know little g will be. Canelo is giving them 160 cause they bytched and cried all year long.

No he didn't breh...he had to strip naked to make weight vs Liam Smith. In what world is that making weight easy? :dwillhuh:

That's what you think? His stamina was great....but we basing it upon him vs Liam Smith? Like...that's not even a test for Canelo. Khan won more rounds convincingly than Liam Smith did vs Canelo and he was a Welterweight vs a Middleweight. Im not using him vs Smith as a gauge of him at 154 now, bc they only went 7 rounds. I'd hope a fighter doesn't gas out within 7 rounds breh.:manny:

He's moving up solely bc of GGG though?:heh:

I think at 160, Canelo won't have to strip anymore and if he fights BJS & David Lemieux at 160 before facing GGG, he will be much more accustomed to the weight and then the fact that he doesn't have to struggle to make weight will make him even more dangerous bc his stamina will increase. :obama:
