Good article but I do disagree with him on this one point:

What we do know, no matter how hard Lampley attempts to convince us otherwise, is that bringing boxing back to free television is a worthwhile attempt. If it fails, and thus costs a multibillion-dollar hedge fund $500 million or so, why should that matter to boxing fans who want what’s best for this ever-shrinking niche sport?

It matters to boxing fans because if PBC fails on the broadcast networks then that makes it far less likely that those networks will take a chance on boxing again. It behooves boxing fans to be extra critical of PBC solely because their plan has been pretty shytty for the most part. The hope is that Allah Haymon realizes how they basically lost 2016 and can right the ship in 2017 so that boxing on the networks can be successful.
