For real I don't get it why the fukk Golovkin is so adamant about staying in middleweight if
1. 160 is objectively a weak division. No real new challenges in the weightclass for him.
2. He always complains about nobody wants to fight him in his weightclass
3. He claimed not one time that anybody from 154 to 168 can get it
4. He wouldn't be too small in 168, i fact he would be pretty normal there too given the fact that he is not a small middleweight
logical solution in this case would be moving up a weightclass
The fact he doesn't do that can be because of
1. He is scared to step up
2. He sees more possible big money fights in 160
3. His marketing built on him being a boogie man, the "avoided man" and a KO monster. This reputation would more likely to tarnished with him moving to 168 cause bigger men would probably more likely to fight him.
Or a combination of 2-3 of these...
Still, itwould be more than logical for him at this point to move up instead of picking welterweights cause "obody wants to fight him" in 160 while he wouldn't even be a small 168er
