I'm a PBL stan but just look at the difference in commentary in his fights vs how they would talk about Floyd when they were pretty much doing the same shyt outclassing the opponent to a UD win

You could prolly say that was Loma's version of Floyd's Gatti performance.

Floyd was also not a 2x Champion over 2 different divisions after only 7 professional fights either.
Loma is much deserving of the hype he's receiving right now.
Also, skill wise, yes...Lomachenko is Top 5 in the game Pound 4 Pound right now. I actually have him 3rd after Andre Ward & Guillermo Rigondeaux off of strictly talent skill level

We expect him to go out there show us some pretty shyt and get the UD no different than what Floyd was doing (although Floyd was doing it against higher level comp) but yeah their reactions were no where near the same and Floyd was the one actually bringing in ppv money

Floyd didn't start bringing in PPV money until about 2006 though breh...a whole 10 years into his career.
HBO hyped the hell outta Floyd when he was starting off just like they do all their fighters. Up until he turned down the opp they wanted him to face (Margarito), they was definitely cheerleading for him. Even showing him in main events from empty arenas
Loma doesn't turn down any opponents, it seems, so they wont have to make that U-turn on him......yet.
