When I look at the comp Joshua has faced thus far in his career, I see jobbers:mjpls:
But as a 2 year pro Joshua is fighting a better caliber of jobbers than the ones that Wilder continues to fight 7 years into his career.

:martin:

And this is a referee brehs:francis:

The best referee working today. :sas2:
And since Floyd is retired I don't see the problem in an official being publicly critical because Smoger is voicing an opinion on a guy who is no longer fighting.

I won't be able to watch the Devon fight till I get home from work this afternoon.
Is it worth a watch and did Devon legit lose the decision?

Bermane Stiverne to fight on November 14th

Former WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-2-1, 21 KOs) will be making his long-awaited ring return next month on November 14th against an opponent still to be determined on the undercard of WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr’s title defense against Oscar Escandon. The venue still hasn’t been established as of yet.

Stiverne, 36, hasn’t fought since losing his WBC heavyweight title to Deontay Wilder last January in a one-sided fight. Stiverne came into the fight dehydrated and wasn’t able to fight at a high enough level to get the win.

Stiverne is ranked #4 WBC, #10 IBF, so all he needs to do is get a couple of good wins under his belt and he should be in position to get a world title shot against the likes of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder or IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Stiverne needs to improve a lot over the performance he put in against Wilder because he needs to prove that he can beat the taller heavyweights in the division. Wilder and Klitschko aren’t the only big heavyweights in the division.

There’s also Anthony Joshua, Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte, Alexander Ustinov and Tyson Fury. Stiverne will run into one or more of those heavyweights sooner or later once he gets near the top of the rankings.

:jbhmm:

Wilder's last 4 opponents (excluding Gavern since they both fought him and you're saying Joshua is fighting better jobbers): Duhaupas (32-2 at time of fight & currently ranked 38th in the world), Molina (23-2 at time of fight & currently ranked 44th in the world), Stiverne (24-1-1 at time of fight & currently ranked 6th in the world), and Scott (36-1-1 at time of fight & currently ranked 23rd in the world).

vs

Joshua's last 4 opponents (excluding Gavern since they both fought him and you're saying Joshua is fighting better jobbers): Whyte (16-0 at time of fight & currently ranked 43rd in the world), Cornish (20-0 at time of fight & currently ranked 68th in the world), Johnson (29-6-1 at time of fight & currently ranked 65th in the world), and Love (36-10-1 at time of fight & currently ranked 83rd in the world).

Looking at just numbers, Wilder's last 4 opponents have an average record of 29-2 while currently being ranked 28th in the world on average....Joshua's last 4 opponents have an average record of 25-4 while currently being ranked 65th in the world on average.

So, how's Joshua fighting a better caliber of jobbers?:jbhmm:

Now...this doesn't mean that Wilder beats him or vice versa, but there's no way anyone can spin Joshua's opponents into being legit opponents while at the same time dismissing Wilder's opponents.. He's facing cans and destroying them...just like Wilder did:manny:

Quick research shows the best opponent Joshua is about to face in his last 4 fights (Whyte) is ranked only 1 spot above Eric Molina right now....who's the worst opponent Wilder has fought in his last 4 outings:yeshrug:

"I wanted to be smart and aggressive in there tonight, and that's what I did. He was coming in fast like we knew he would. We knew he was going to come forward. I just couldn't get my shots off like I wanted to," Alexander said. "Consecutive losses are tough, but I'm not easily discouraged. I just need to regroup and then we'll see what's next. I'm still considered one of the best."

Devon Alexander: I'm Still Considered One of The Best!

Anthony Joshua Pro Debut: 10/5/2013
Deontay Wilder Pro Debut: 11/15/2008
:stopitslime:
So a 2 year pro is fighting comparable level of bums as a 7 year pro who also happens to be WBC champ?
:bplease:
Joshua isn't fighting top level comp but he has an excuse...Wilder at this point in his career should not be fighting the same garbage opponents that Joshua is fighting. There is no defense for that at all.

That's not what you said though:sas1:

But as a 2 year pro Joshua is fighting a better caliber of jobbers than the ones that Wilder continues to fight 7 years into his career.

And that's false. He's actually fighting worse opponents:sas2:

Wilder's recent opponents have been, on average, ranked 40 spots lower than Joshua's recent opponents....that's not comparable at all either:mjpls:

Again, Joshua's opponent coming up (Whyte) would still be the worst opponent Wilder has faced in the last 2 years:yeshrug:

Joshua is facing bums and KOing them, just like Wilder did breh. You cant prop him up and dismiss Wilder...when Joshua is doing the exact same thing:manny:
