people don't have to buy it:manny:

I may shyt on the struggle team on here but Floyd has had an amazing run when you think about it :wow:

he deserves some soft touches :manny:

and ill be buying them :francis:
You really think Floyd is going risk the public embarrassment of pulling in TNA PPV numbers just to have a soft touch fight? And that Showtime is going to co-sign putting on a PPV that has no shot of making any money?
That is all I am saying...it makes no sense from a business perspective for anyone involved.

Team Lomachenko: We Have ZERO Interest in Walters
Posted by: Steve Kim on 6/19/2015 .

By Steve Kim

So in the wake of Nicholas Walters losing his WBA featherweight title on the scales last Saturday before facing Miguel Marriaga (who Walters out-pointed at the Theater of Madison Square Garden), is there any chance that the highly anticipated clash between he and WBO featherweight titlist, Vasyl Lomachenko, still takes place in the fall?

"For what?" scoffed Egis Klimas, the manager for Lomachenko.

"I don't see an interest in him because he's not a title-holder anymore, that's it. And right now making his next bout we're not sure about his weight or we have to think about his weight. Second of all, he comes into the fight [rehydrated] at 145, 147(pounds) - we'd be doing the same thing we did with Orlando Salido. So it's absolutely no interest - zero."

If you recall, in Lomachenko's second pro outing he faced Salido in an attempt to capture the WBO 126-pound belt, but not only did the rugged Mexican come in a few pounds over the featherweight limit, then he ballooned up to 147-pounds, giving him a decided advantage over Lomachenko.

History will not repeat itself if Klimas has his way.

He added - "and to do a catch-weight, there also no point to do a catch-weight because again for what reason? We're featherweight fighters. I understand if they weigh-in at 132, 134 or even 135, it's OK. But 147, c'mon."

Like Salido, Walters came in as a virtual welterweight by the time he got into the ring to face Marriaga. Lomachenko and his team have made it crystal clear that they are going belt hunting. If you don't have one, well, you're really not in their plans.

His manager says it though....not Loma himself:patrice:

Unless he says something like, "I leave it up to my team"...I cant hold thse statements against Lomachenko. Bob Arum is saying differently anyways, and he's the Promoter:yeshrug:
