WBC flyweight world champion Roman Chocolatit Gonzalez (43-0, 37KOs) is not yet ready to face Japanese superstar Naoya Monster Inoue (8-0, 7KOs), who fights one division north and holds the WBO title in that weight class.Inoue is making tremendous waves in the lower weights. After only turning pro in 2012, he's already a two-division world champion after destroying Adrian Hernandez for the WBC junior flyweight title in early 2014 and then moving up by two weight divisions later that year to wipeout 115-pound kingpin Omar Narvaez for the WBO super flyweight title.
Gonzalez is open to making that fight, but not at this moment. He made his HBO debut on Saturday with a two round knockout of veteran Edgar Sosa at The Forum in Los Angeles. He wants to make a few more defenses at 112 before going up to 115 to face Inoue. The two boxers share the same promoter in Mr. Honda of Teiken Promotions, so a future fight between the two of them is very possible.'';He is a great fighter. He is very strong. He hits very hard. But he's at 115 and I'm at 112 right now. I believe I still have a couple of more fights at 112. When Mr. Honda of Teiken Promotions is ready to take me to 115 - I'm ready. Or when I don't have any more opponents to fight at 112 [I'll move up]. At the moment I'm fighting at 112, I'm a world champion.''
