So.....what does that mean?:dahell: That B fighter also got his ass whooped by Devon Alexander and lost to Khan and Kotelnik

He's a solid B fighter.

AB's a B fighter as well. He beat Molina 8 rounds to 2, but he didnt dominate him the way I wanted to see an elite fighter do....which confirms to me his B status.

He will still become Champion at 140 though:youngsabo:

2 and a half rounds of clinching and a ref who didnt enforce the rules of khan abandoning the fight

Overall dope fight. And the card was clearly better than Pac/bradley:upsetfavre:

I had the fight 115-113 or at worst a draw. If somebody had Marcos 115-113 I wouldnt argue. And yes floyd is fronting when talking about he wants to ive the fans a good fight. nikka was pressured effectively just like Cotto.

What I am dying to see is a Pac/Maidana.

I swear to God if Pac even SPLITS with Maidana, this May/Pac super fight is ON like it never left.

I love Maidana and been really following this man since Amir/Maidana, but he needs to be fodder to breathe life into the greatest fight in boxing history.

Mayweather caught lackin right now the throne is for the taking and no man deserves it but a focused Pacquiao:youngsabo:

With all that said I wanted May to win, he deserves that win, and it was a very close fight but a proper decision was handed down. A majority or split, not 117-111, more like 115-113.

That B fighter beat broners ass and just went to a draw with the GOAT.

:mjpls:

doin a lil too much. if you scored that fight a draw you gave Maidana credit for not losing as opposed to actual winning. Floyd's pinpoint accuracy and defense must not be taken for granted....but it usually is...especially in this fight. Maidana gave him his toughest fight in years but Floyd was never being "dominated" as people say. he was getting outworked is the most you can say and he was getting tagged to the head and the body. lets not forget though that Floyd landed accurately to the head and body while not only in the center of the ring...but fighting off ropes.

as far as AB.....look at it like this....if he had avoided the initial bumrush and not gotten KDed, this conversation could be much different right now. AB fought a toe to toe give and take fight with Maidana and won at least 4 rounds. AB fought a more offensive fight and Floyd fought more defensive. either you need to give AB credit for performing better offensively against MM or you need to give Floyd more credit for what he did defensively. yall cant have it both ways.

Floyd is so lucky... I had Floyd barely winning 7t5.. shyt could've easily been a draw or went the other way..

no it couldnt. not unless you just giving more credit to the underdog than you should be.

when the fight was on the ropes, Maidana won a lot of that action, but when his arms got heavy later in the fight, Floyd won all the action off the ropes because he was actually landing clean counters while Maidana wasnt landing like he was earlier.

now take in consideration that Maidana NEVER won any part of any round while they were in the center of the ring and it should be clear who the better man was still. MM did good but boxing is still scored off this

criteria: Clean punching; Effective aggressiveness; Defense; Ring generalship

Maidana won the effective aggressiveness area except in the later rounds where he wasnt landing clean and getting countered off the ropes. Floyd won the other 3 categories in every round. The effective aggressiveness worked but it wasnt enough to score a draw or win on 12 rounds.

Dude is too talented to fight behind nikkas. shyt was disappointing to watch. He needs to throw more punches. Broner is good for the sport with all of the entertainment he brings, but he needed to look more dominant tonight. He should have blown Molina out of the water.

It's still #BandCamp :blessed:

but I just expected more from him.

Broner has a bad style. Thats his issue. That style is bad...for him. Had he been brought up with it like Floyd, it would be different. Thats a difficult way to fight...particularly using it the way he does which is most of the time. He doesnt mix it up like Floyd and he doesnt move his head like Toney. His chances dont look that good at 140-147 unless he overhauls. He's got talent, but he's asking to get killed with that style against stronger guys who are more powerful punches. Thats not what I call defense.
