Jermaine Taylor was never that good that breh, just hyped up. He was always a B fighter....which was the same as Spinks. And yes, Spinks won that fight. The Zab Judah that fought Cory Spinks was a better fighter than Jermaine Taylor as well.


However, I agree with the speed and style statement and I believe that Canelo's style is more suited to knock out Manny than Bradley's is. Canelo would stand and trade with Manny...that's what he does. I dont think Manny can win a "fire fight" with Canelo who will be much to big for him. Especially with the fact that Manny's chin has weakened due to age.


This is all hypothetical though, so it really doesnt matter

my point was this....yes, Taylor was a very uneven fighter...but Zab being a JWW was more adept at fighting fast quick guys than Taylor was. Bradley is almost in the same boat. he is much more adept at fighting fast quick guys. doesnt mean he is better, but that he is able to adjust his style to theirs easier. Bradley has face much faster fighters on the TOP level than Canelo. see ****, Alexander, Manny 2x, Witter.

Jermaine was a disappointment that era produced a few underachievers as far as nikkas went. Him and Lacy got crazy hype back then but them nikkas just didn't have the smarts to be or stay at the elite level. Hopkins lost to Taylor twice that shyt don't even sound right looking back.​

On some real shyt this subforum is the best thing going in the Coli right now (TSC don't count should stand on it's own ) and i'm being honest it's nice to have some actual boxing discussion on these forums. Jermain couldve been better had he not been "rushed to market". He was big, strong, athletic, and had a good jab. He was stubborn though. He shouldve respected Manny Steward for the great boxing mind he was and built up his defense and stamina. I never saw anything special in him...but I still think he was a very much unfinished product.

Yeah them cats just came off as some raw ass nikkas that got overpushed by the networks they were on. I didn't wanna use the bait turn and call them some country ass nikkas but they were the type of nikkas that reminded me of big Ham from Diggstown.

I don't really see Thurman getting that crazy hype like a Broner got...in my case I just like the way dude fights and think he has a lot of potential. I agree he is going to have to step it up in comp soon but it's not like Thurman hasn't been calling folks out. It's just that most of the guys he calls out don't seem to be too eager to fight him.

Last thing I heard was Porter vs Thurman in July....but that means Porter would have to vacate his IBF title because he has a mandatory defense scheduled with Kell Brook by July 21st or he gets stripped


Lucas is probably gonna stay at 140 though. I dont see him moving up to 147 just yet.
