Also, the one thing I don't like about the excuse about not being a draw is that boxers are so hypocritical about it.

Paulie says he won't fight Thurman until he becomes a bigger name, but he's ok with getting beaten up by Cano for pennies :usure:

Maidana says Thurman isn't a big enough name to warrant a fight. How big of a draw was Josesito :usure:

Guerrero got a fight with Floyd, now he thinks he can hold out for all the big stars like he's a household name :why:

So it's ok to fight for less when you can pad your record, but for actually challenges you should get paid :smh: Nah fukk that, it's either one way or the other.

That's what I hate about boxing these days

i had went to the fights in d.c. last weekend with 2 of my uncles- man that was some great action. i had some great seats also. the d.c. armory definitely was live.

messing around with one of my uncles i didn't get there until 7 pm when the venue opened at 5- i was heated about that. but soon as i walked in and went to my seat i see sam watson and his twin son who had on the black sweater and hat. i took a pic with them, they were cool about it. saw brian kenny and danny jacobs- dapped those cats up. also seen danny garcia (took a pic with him, but my uncle screwed up the pic lol). broner was walking around the venue with his crew- my uncle got a flick with him. also saw rasheed wallace there leaving out after the fights ended- said what up to him.

a lot of times it be so many casuals there that they don't even know who the boxers are. swift was just walking around dolo when i seen him. saw shawn porter dad before his fight by the concession stand. so many bad women all over the place- boxing live is like a club- music blasting between each round.

as for the fights- it was like 10-11 fight card- i missed like the 1st 3 or 4, but when i got there i caught all the others. peeped that young cat sadam ali from brooklyn- duke got real potential. and some dude name deandre or something (local d.c fighter making his pro debut) me and my uncle were sitting by one of the local photographers for the event and she gave my uncle her media pass, she left after getting her photos- she was real cool, she gave me a shumenov terrible towel.

crowd was live but was booing during the quillin fight- i thought it was good action to me.

that paulie and porter was crazy! from the opening bell porter starting swarming but then became patient- then it seemed like he went back to beast mode. i felt bad for paulie- the 1st knockdown i didn't see cause the crowd jumped up and went crazy. but when he smothered paulie on the ropes- i was like, ref just stop it lol

b hop put on a clinic- around the middle rounds a lot of people starting leaving- they knew it was a wrap. that knockdown in the 11th round really made the place go crazy.

all in all- a great weekend for boxing. i'll def go back to the armory- it is raggedy inside though- really old (of course the national guard used to be there), it was more liver than the mgm grand when i peeped floyd live vs guerrero.

vacant..isn't Thurman an interim belt holder? wouldn't he just be upgraded to full wba champion..i hate all this interim bullshyt :smh:

He would be elevated to regular champion should the belt become vacant. Here's the kicker though.....if Floyd wins and decides to keep the belt, he would be Super Champion and Thurman's interim title would be upgraded to regular champion.

Super Champion mandos due every 18 months. I dont know when the last mando for that belt was but theoretically, should Floyd win as expected, he could hold the title for at least 6 months then vacate.....worst case scenario is he is granted the full 18 months and we never see him defend the belt at all. :yeshrug:

sn: Floyd would also be elevated to champion Emeritus by WBC and Manny would be awarded the regular belt and have no claim to be Floyd's mando in the upcoming months.

:snoop:
