Marquez only won 1 of the last 4 rounds decisively... Round 10..
Yeah Sure.....

But talking about that round 10, JMM could have stopped Manny there if he stepped it up, Manny aint throw for almost 2 minutes after eating a right and getting his eye busted

So the WBC is having two heavyweight title elimination bouts? Why would they make the Wilder/Scott match a title eliminator bout and now make Bryant Jennings vs Mike Perez a title eliminator too?
So now the WBC is going to make the winner of the Stiverne/Arreola fight have to fight back to back mandatories.
http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/8099/jennings-perez-eliminator-in-discussions

Because, if things go as planned, we will have Deontay Wilder vs Bryant Jennings fighting each other for the WBC Championship.......and THAT will bring back the "American Heavyweight":ohlawd:

If Bryant Jennings is the best Hvyweight & if he beats either Deontay Wilder or the man who beat him (either Arreola or Stiverne) it makes him undisputedly the best Heavyweight contender out there. Same thing goes in Wilder's case.

Then we will see the #1 Heavyweight Wlad vs the clear #2 Heavyweight for the championship in a unification bout:blessed:

It's almost like a tournament to crown the clear cut best Heavyweight in the world, because the ending goal is the #2 Heavyweight and WBC Champ is gonna fight Wlad:lawd:

Firstly miss me with this 1-1 shyt with Mike, Rios got lucky as fukk there wih the quick stoppage,in a fight he damn near lost every round, being buzzed over and over...

I like how you completely ignore Manny saying he got the shyt hurt out of him by Rios very bad and it was very hard for him to continue....:pacspit:
At the time of stoppage they were tied on 2 scorecards and Rios had the edge on the third judges scorecard.
I do agree that the ref should have given Alvarado a few more seconds to try and recover but all signs pointed to Mike getting KO'd because he was hurt.

They should have called it a heavyweight title tourny and actually benefited by the huge amount of press that would have garnered.

So yea.. that was just one round.. Nacho told JMM he was winning the fight and JMM took his foot off the gas and tried to be conservative while Pac became the agressor again

They should:obama:

I dont think most people see it that way, like I do, but that's what it is. The casual fan is gonna miss out on it though, but for us Hardcore fans, this is EXACTLY what was needed to bring back the Heavyweight division and the American Heavyweight to be more specific.

I've actually posted about somebody needing to do this a while ago, because it would benefit the world of boxing so much. Almost like the "Super 6", except for Heavyweights and not in a round robin format.

The winner of Deontay Wilder vs Malik Scott (which we now know as Deontay Wilder) faces the winner of Chris Arreola vs Bermane Stiverne. The winner of that match fights the winner of Bryant Jennings vs Mike Perez for the WBC Championship. The newly crowned WBC Champion will eventually fight Wladimir Klitschko with every title at stake. The winner will be the WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF/RING Heavyweight Champion.

dragged up? rios wasn't even making 147 and could barely make 140 without looking like thinner....wouldn't use the term dragged up for that :russ:he fought alvarado at 140 and was split 1-1...both of those fights were FOTY candidates..the only bad thing you can say about rios in those fights is he didnt want to box which cost him in the rematch but he def didnt look bad at 140
one and only one of his rios fights was he ever in trouble to the point of getting ko'ed and it was from the mexican journeyman who dropped him twice in the first round when he was a lightweight..and the problem with ppl hurting rios is that rios hurt them back and most of them couldn't take it....rios ko'ed that cat who dropped him....rios all but ruined acosta...alvarado hurt rios but was ko'ed by him in the first fight and rios would have repeated that KO in the rematch if alvarado didn't switch gears late to get a close dec victory...abril outboxed a severely weight drained rios but neither hurt each other...manny outboxed him and hurt him and was not hurt or bother by rios in any significant way
@patscorpio :salute:
This is it right here. Rios was a skeleton at 140 and then when he moved up to 147 he couldn't even make weight. Rios is literall 40 pounds heavier than Manny outside of the ring. We all know that when a guy cuts that much weight his punch resistance goes down. Rios had great punch resistance at 140, so we not gonna act like dude should be able to take world class punches at 147. :stopitslime:
Throw in the fact that at 147 Pacquiao is not a super puncher. He is an accumulation puncher now. At the lower weights he had that freaky power that got everyone jocking his punching ability. At fights above 140...where Pacquiao typically weighs 144...he has 9 fights with only 2 stoppages (Cotto, DLH). That is a KO% of 22%. That is enough to see that he isn't a KO artist at higher weights.

And know people are thinking Rios looked like he was getting beat up in the first Alvarado fight? :what: Rios was going back to the corner every round saying "I love this shyt". Rios was in it for a war to the end and would never stop. There is a reason why Alvarado quit going to war with Rios in the second fight and struggle boxed from the outside down the stretch.

Donaire suffers from Roy Jones Jr syndrome. Too damn good for his own good for too damn long, but instead of a weight draining decision being his undoing, he got comfortable and those elite opponents (Darchiniyan, Montiel, Rigo) came too far apart. Dude got so used to dominating C and B level guys with just his talent an athleticism, that he forgot that it takes more than that sometimes to beat elite guys (Rigo) Half assed his training for that fight and the rest is history. He even struggled to stop a guy he KO'ed like 6 -7 years ago in the Vic rematch.

shyt's fukked up in a sense, because more people will remember the Rigo performance/loss rather than all that other raw shyt he was doing like that Dempsey Roll KO he had, or starching Vic and Montiel. Just like you got nikkas out there that think Roy was always some bum after getting stopped by Tarver. It's like the 14 years he was on top don't even matter. :snoop:
I like Donaire, he is a fun fighter to watch, but if he is going to be a top tiered fighter he needs to get his shyt together. You are right, at least since the Rigo fight he has been half-assing his training and doesn't look sharp or motivated.
Donaire has a great chin and maybe the best power in the lower weight classes. Physically he isn't very big, so being in shape is crucial for his match making because I don't think he physically matches up well in higher weight classes.
The other thing about him is that he isn't very fast and is very susceptible against guys with speed. If he isn't taking the sport seriously and training hard, there is no way I think he beats the top guys right now because they have great speed or work rates.
