You can bring up whoever you want.. just dont understand why Pacquiao is brought up when we're talking about Rigo or anybody else.. It always has to be some comparison to Pacquiao to support your argument

If they're only looking at stats and disnt watch the fight they would probably say Rigo.. not knowing that majority of his punches landed came from counter hits which dont make him the one engaging as the aggressor

rigo was throwing punches at the air to play keep out.. Pac was throwing with intent to hit and clottey was blocking :

How do you explain Rigo landing almost 100 more punches than Agbeko if he was scared to engage? Rigo landed 144 punches, Agbeko 48.

How do you explain Rigo landing 47 more punches on Donaire if he was scared to engage? Rigo landed 129 punches, Doniare 82.

How do you explain Rigo landing landing 122 more punches on Marroquin if he was scared to engage? Rigo landed 176 punches, Marroquin 54.

How do you explain the 3 opponents before that getting KO'd in the 1st, 5th, and 6th rounds if Rigo was scared to engage?

Obviously it's his opponents.......including Nonito Donaire.....who is scared to engage him. Not the other way around.

Rigo does not press the action, because he's a counter puncher. It's up to his PROMOTER to match him up with opponents who come after him and they will get destroyed for their efforts.

Bob Arum is supposed to make him look good and not talk down on his fighter

BoxingScene.com has been advised that the return of WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (13-0, 8KOs) will likely take place on July 19th in Macau, China. The plan is for most of Top Rank's Olympic Medalists to appear on the card and would include two-time gold medal winner Zou Shiming, 2012 Brazilian silver medalist Esquiva Falcao, and 2012 Japanese Gold medal winner Ryota Murata.
Rigondeaux last fought on December 7th in Atlantic City when he defeated Joseph Agbeko via unanimous decision.

from what i heard on the the broadcast from saturday that the people who own that casino macau loved the first card there so much that they order 4 of them HBO cards. if vazquez ended up fighting on here, it would have bee safe to assume that rigo would be on there

You mean when Thurman wooped Karrass' ass?
My boy Thurman has this. Might actually be able to stop Matthysse.

Lucas seems like a natural JWW and a smaller WW. Keith Thurman isn't the biggest WW, but he may be the strongest. Danny Garcia made the world not scared of The Machine, now Thurman can rise in the WW division. :blessed:

Yeah, I know this fight ain't official. But #OneTime is my boy.

LUIS COLLAZO JOINING THE AL HAYMON STABLE
By Ben Thompson | February 24, 2014
luiscollazo.jpg

Sources close to the information have informed us that former welterweight champion Luis Collazo is the latest fighter to sign with influential adviser Al Haymon. Collazo will join light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson as the newest additions to Haymon's rapidly growing stable of fighters, which already includes Floyd Mayweather, Danny Garcia, Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Devon Alexander, Peter Quillin, Leo Santa Cruz, Gary Russell Jr., Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara, Andre Berto, Sakio Bika, Chris Arreola, Deontay Wilder, and Edwin Rodriguez, just to name a few.

Collazo is coming off of an impressive 2nd round knockout of former welterweight champion Victor Ortiz. The victory has no doubt earned him an opportunity to face any of the other top names in the division. One should not be surprised to see the Brooklyn native facing the likes of Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, or Paulie Malignaggi in the very near future.
