Garcia/Ghost would be an excellent fight. So would Paulie/Garcia. If he's gonna fight at 140 he should fight Broner imo although thats a super dangerous fight for Garcia Broner and golden boy

Garcia/Broner would definitely be a stupid fight for all involved........at least at this point. They should both continue to win and THEN down the line fight when Broner gets more names under his belt and Danny gets his name out there even more.

:whew: We would finally have to face off in a war......Adrien Broner vs Danny Garcia, Newzz vs @ChocolateGiddyUp, #BandCamp vs #SwiftSet:ohlawd:

@Newzz I'm very interested to see how #BandCamp does against chino. What's your honest un-stanning opinion of the fight?
@patscorpio @SuikodenII @ChocolateGiddyUp @Skip b @LauderdaleBoss basically all my boxing brehs, what is your opinion on maidana/broner?

I think if Broner "boxes" him, uses his hand speed and punching accuracy to counter him....and also doesnt get to carried away in trading with him, it's an easy victory.

I think Maidana will win about 3 rounds and that this will be the "coming out party", nh, for the non-believers.

Do not forget how badly Devon Alexander beat Marcos Maidana and I do not have Devon and Broner on the same skill level.

I think this fight will be as easy as Broner wants it to be. Either he boxes him and destroys him (10-2 or 9-3), or he stands there and take punches all night while winning a close one (7-5). I dont see Maidana winning this fight in any way, shape, or form.

I think AB outboxes Maidana easily....the only way I see Maidana winning is if AB chin can't hold up at 147 OR if his power is lacking N he can't get Maidanas respect.... but even then Maidana gotta touch him up enough to win N Ionno if he can:yeshrug:

This is what I'm thinking, if Broner fights smart it shouldn't be a problem. But I think Maidanas thudding unorthodox overhand right could give broner issues.

Well Maidana's definitely got the edge in power

Broner is faster on his feet and has faster hands and much better defense. They both can go 12 no problem and though Maidana is not the best boxer, he's gotten better with his jab and his body work is tremendously underrated. Broner is gonna pick his shots on the outside and fight in the pocket which is where Maidana will have his best chance at winning. In other words, if Maidana can't land effectively when Broner decides to stand his ground, the fight is over, he can't deal with Broner from the outside. Though I don't see Maidana being stopped, I wouldn't be shocked if he got dropped by a counter right hand he doesn't see or a Body shot. Devon and Khan both hurt em to the body...

I see this as a sleeper action filled fight, one guy trying to solidify and impress that he belongs on PPV, the other is gonna bring it regardless. Broner will be more accurate and should outpoint Maidana 117-111 or 118-110, but it will be a FUN fight to watch.

http://nypost.com/2013/10/03/mike-tyson-counter-punches-usa-boxing-chief/

Mike Tyson always punches back.

Late Thursday night, the former heavyweight champion drafted a response to an open-letter by USA Boxing president Dr. Charles F. Butler that accused Tyson of “undermining the next United States Olympic Boxing Team.”

Butler’s letter, released through the media on Tuesday, complained Tyson’s promotional company Iron Mike Productions was luring top amateurs to sign a professional contract for “a pittance of their future worth” if they boxed in the Olympics.

Tyson, who hadn’t previously spoken about the issue, didn’t pull any punches in his letter, a copy of which was obtained by The Post.

“I am most disappointed that you and USA Boxing could not afford me the courtesy and respect, not only as a former heavyweight champion, but a former amateur champion to contact me first instead of taking advantage of my name and company for publicity,” Tyson wrote. “Your organization never attempted to contact me directly to discuss this matter. Had you done so, perhaps you would have a better understanding of my love for amateur boxing and my commitment to protect fighters by giving them the best possible opportunities this business can offer.

Tyson also defended his company’s signing of Erickson Lubin of Florida, a top 152-pound Olympic prospect, who turned 18 on Tuesday. Tyson said the signing “was solely his decision and based on consultation and input from his advisors.”

The youngest heavyweight champion ever also pointed out he turned pro at age 18 and “had a very successful professional boxing career.”

“No one knows better than I the pitfalls of amateur and professional boxing,” Tyson added. “This is precisely why I am compelled to make Iron Mike Productions a transparent company. Our priority is the well-being of our fighters and to produce the most exciting fights we can and in the process uplift the sport of boxing.

“I love my country and I love the liberties living in a democracy affords. These young fighters have worked diligently and deserve the right to pursue the best path they deem fit for themselves. Unfortunately, many of them can’t wait around for a very slim shot at Olympic glory.”

Those closest to Tyson know of his love for the purity of amateur boxing. He missed being part of the decorated 1984 Olympic boxing team when he was beaten in a close decision at the Olympic Trials by Henry Tillman. That was the heyday of Olympic boxing. Since then, the program has produced few marketable champions.

“Our country hasn’t had a male boxing gold medalist since 2004 [Andre Ward], which could be why many young hopefuls decide to turn professional sooner,” Tyson wrote.
“Many of these boxers are like me in that they are from poverty stricken communities and boxing is their only way to a better life. They have obligations beyond your personal vision for them. No one has the right to question the path a fighter chooses in pursuit of their American dream.”

Tyson concluded his letter by offering his assistance.

“I will always be supportive of amateur boxing and will continue helping in any way possible,” he wrote. “My door is always open to assist the USA Boxing team reach its goals. Hopefully, in the future, you will be more comfortable reaching out to me directly.”

broner outboxes him over the distance..ko'ing him though im not sure since i'm not sold on his power at 147 but maidana has always had a weakness to the body so if broner has a plan of focusing on it a stoppage could happen

Broner wants no parts of Danny...that's why he has latched himself onto Danny's nuts like a pubic hair.

I see Broner stopping Chino late after an entertaining semi-competitive fight. I think his defense gets underrated for a guy who's so offensively dynamic. He might catch a few bombs, but I don't think think he'll get tagged like that. Chino's power bailed him out against Karass and Lopez who were both giving him that work. Broner is a class above those guys and if he boxes aggressively (not recklessly) and goes to the body enough, I don't see him having a problem with dude. Alexander already dominated and wrote the book on Marcos and Broner will be the most overall skilled and talented person he's fought since then.
