Dude was never at the top:mindblown:

People act like he aint get gifts and beat old champions by the skin of his teeth

He cant stand Sr though that wont work, Floyd shytted on him and said how you gonna be a champ and I could do more pullups than you:heh:

he was an elite fighter...if you say he wasnt then :udontknow:
his wins look good. he beat Hopkins who came back to beat Pascal and Cloud. he beat Tarver, who came back to KO Green....even if he was juicing...he couldve been for Dawson too. he beat Adamek who did work at Cruiser and HW. Dawson was at the top and there should be no argument about it. If you say he wasnt at the top then basically you are saying all of those wins against his opponents were flukes...or none of those guys are to be respected as quality wins.

I highly doubt he'll ever go back to Floyd. nikkas just gotta realize certain people's personalities don't work together. The trainer he got now is good too and he done let that nikka down as well. It is what it is.

I'm looking at shyt realistically. Dawson hardly fights a lot as it is. He needs a series of non-televised bouts against scrubs/fringe contenders in order to work things out, but I doubt that happens. He'll prolly get brought back for some showcase fight late this year or early next year and lose or get a struggle win against a contender with a name or some shyt.

I'm a big Dawson fan so it pains me to write this shyt, but dude looks finished at the top. That's the only reason I even said he's finished in the 1st place, because I don't expect him to beat guys like Cloud, Stevenson, Kovalev, and etc...

He can beat those guys...but the thing is...there is no reason for any of them to fight him except for Cloud maybe. he showed no respect to Stevenson leading up to and going into the fight. He walked right in and tried to dominate Stevenson from the gate. (a guy who he described as a small LHW) he wanted to look extra impressive to show people the Ward fight didnt affect him. FMJ has the best formula for a guy like Chad. Keep winning....no matter what people say or think. by him losing, he did himself a disservice as far as securing future fights.

One man's trash is another man's treasure:manny:

Dude was never shyt, especially with how overrated and how highly he's touted:pacspit:

You acting like cats were praising Chad left and right. Most cats saw him as a talented skilled combination punching southpaw who fought like he didn't want to be there. Dude got shytted on more than he got props.

Just because you don't think someone was any good or deserved the props they received doesn't mean their garbage.

Real talk I used to look at Kostya Tszyu the same way you looking at Dawson and prolly a bunch of other nikkas. Kosta used to look so beatable to me. He'd get hit and out jabbed and resort to wrestling if he couldn't infight you. His style just rubbed me the wrong way. I was picking everybody to beat this nikka since the Chavez fight and finally Hatton did it. He never fought again, but seeing the emergence of GGG I can appreciate Tszyu's style and his calculated pressure and precise punching and how he was able to destroy quicker and more talented boxers.

Dawson achieved a lot for his career, but we expected more from somebody with all those natural gifts he had. The Dawson from the (Harding,Adamek, and 1st Tarver fight) would give any 175lber a hard night. It's just that version of Dawson never showed up enough.

I wouldn't favor Dawson over anyone in the top ten at light heavyweight. I'm sure if the stars are aligned correctly for the night he could prolly beat them dudes, but I doubt it at this point. He needs to stay more active and just build himself back up mentally and fight some semi tough scrubs off air and work on some things. The thing is I highly doubt he'll do that and he's prolly lost the little love for boxing he had left after getting stopped twice in a row.

God can come down and train Dawson and that nikka would still do some shyt that could cost him the fight. Chad is going to have to want it. Trainers can't want it for him and neither can the fans.

I dont see the difference. TR undercards sucked...but Oscar learned from the best. They have some good action fights but I am not a guy who cares about action alone...hell, I can walk outside and see a good fight. I want to see the best fighters being showcased....not a whole bunch of guys with meaningless belts and guys that just turned pro against some tomato can. The Love vs Rosado fight was good but I think they will start matching a lil softer after that mishap.

GBP undercards may have slightly better quality but TR knows what pricepoint to set and what will generate revenue. (smart move by going to Macau) They may not give you a lot but they dont str8 assrape you like GBP be tryin to do. GBP condemned TR and DK for being bad for boxing then come in doing the same shyt but to the nth degree! nikkas like Roy and them in Bucktown.

Good action fights > the shyt TR puts on

I buy a TR PPV N you jus switch channels til the Main Event

Mike Jones vs Randall Bailey
Rios vs Euro Bum
Gamboa vs pinoy bum

Rigondeaux was the only good thing bout TR ppvs undercards N Arum hates dude:heh:

Those GBP PPVs headlined by Floyd gave Canelo a name
nikkas was hype for Ginger vs Sugar Shane

PDL vs Mares
Josesito Lopez vs Jesse Vargas
Rosado vs Love

It ain't even close who puts out the better undercards

Top Ranks undercards are garbage 90% of the time. The last one I recall that was actually good was the one for the Manny/Shane fight but then the main event sucked so it's like :dahell:

shyt, I'll throw it back even further with Goldenboy. Anybody remember the undercard for MAB/Juarez 2. That was dope as fukk even though the main event turned into a stale fight nikkas still had...
Joan Guzman vs Jorge Barrios
Israel Vasquez vs Jhonny Gonzales.

He's back brehs:gladbron:

“They say ‘Mayweather, you know you facing Canelo’ and I say yeah but can you tell just 10 world champions that he’s beat? Just 10, that’s all I ask. Then I say you know what, I’ve been sitting on the top of the throne for 17 years. Every time they get a guy, they build him up and you know what I do? Smack them down” said Floyd.

“And it’s so crazy that Canelo is such a big star but he’s never been on pay per view unless he was on my undercard. But he’s such a big star. He’s such a big star Oscar. You might as well call me the Golden Boy cause I done beat everybody in your whole crew!”

“Oscar De La Hoya on this whole tour has been quiet. Everybody’s been quiet. You notice Oscar’s always got a game plan for an opponent and it always comes up short. Like I said before, I believe in doing good business. Honest business. And one thing you got to realize about Floyd Mayweather is I can fight. That’s what I can do, I can fight”.

Golovkin Eyes Martin Murray Defense on November 2nd

Gennady Golovkin wants to defend his WBA middlewight title against Martin Murray.

The unbeaten Kazakh underlined his credentials as a superstar in the making with a three-round destruction of Matthew Macklin at the weekend.

And, according to his manager, next on the agenda is another Briton in the shape of St Helens man Murray, whose latest world title bid ended in a disputed points loss to Sergio Martinez in Argentina in April.

"Gennady has already said that he wants to fight Martin Murray next," manager Oleg Hermann told WorldBoxingNews.net

"The problem is, we are told that Martin has big problems with his United States visa and cannot go to America.

"If he can get his visa and wants this fight, we have a date on November 2 and we can make this big fight happen at Madison Square Garden.

"As yet, we have had no answers back from Murray or his team on this matter."

Murray, who spent time in prison when he was younger, saw a Texas fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr fall through last year because of visa problems.

The 30-year-old, who drew with Felix Sturm in his other contest at world level, subsequently lost his unbeaten record to Martinez despite flooring the WBC champion in the eighth round.

LETS GO!!!!!! I like how GGG is targeting Martinez opponents to show how he can fare against them. Should be a nice scrap once made.
