I think we had a HOF Thread here. Where is it?

I want to list some borderlines.

I think Casamayor should get in especially with strength of his amateur background. JLC, no.

Teofilo Stevenson isn’t in. Probably should be.

Chris Byrd has an argument.

Vernon Forrest was right there, those Mosley wins were strong, Shane was considered the P4P king at the time. The wins over Quartey, Picirillo, Phillips, Baldomir, Mora, probably not strong enough but solid. Had he beat Mayorga just once.

Froch grew on me (pause) the same way Bisping did.

They're non-stop talking and refusal to not be arrogant eventually won me over. Despite their limitations they're entertaining.

Froch reminds me of someone like a Vinnie Jones in Snatched.

Just filled with quotables and fukkery.

For all of his limitations he only lost two fights. He was tougher than shyt

Remember I said Steve Willis was the ref in that crazy fight? It was Marlon B Wright, I was mistaken. The fight was Bute vs Librado Andrade. Wright cheated and gave Bute a long ass count and bell rung and Bute won decision whe he was clearly out on his feet.

Yeah I remember that garbage that was one of the worst things I ever saw in my life

It's because Ward despised the fact that everybody was fighting A fighters and he was camped out in Montreal waiting for the winner of the Super Six.

Yes I remember Ward using this excuse, but I immediately dismissed it. Fighters need opponents. You need a guy you can sell a PPV with, and Bute was one of the few options out there at the time.

Bute getting his ass beat by someone else doesn’t benefit Ward at all, unless his team just didn’t like the fight for whatever reason, which can happen.

You’d be surprised that there are scenarios out there where fighter A doesn’t like the fight with fighter b, despite the fact that fighter A likely beats fighter b.

he went to fight a weight drained chad dawson who had no business taking that damn fight :francis:

letting froch take his work is one of the reason why froch got in to the HOF..he has wins over the who's who in that 168 generation outside of ward and joe cal

:mjlol: That was one I forgot to mention

Never liked Froch though, entertaining fighter but an absolute douchebag. He also had/has a weird obsession with Ward after he lost to a one armed Ward in the super 6 final
Froch is a scumbag lol. That's why it burns his soul till this day him losing to Ward & the way Ward decisively whupped his ass

He ALWAYS gave off :mjpls: from the beginning

That was Chad's fault though for taking that fight he had just won

I forgot who had beat and he had a million people he could call out and he decided to call out Andre Ward and said he can make super middleweight.

And that was the beginning of the downfall of Chad Dawson

I love Andre Ward and you are completely 100% correct

I still love him for finally putting an end to that godforsaken human being Sergey

No matter which way y'all scored the first fight. I had Ward winning by the exact same margin as the judges. But the second one was a thing of beauty

Pretty much….I usually don’t give a shyt about the whole “calling out” thing since fights are really made with contracts and lawyers rather than just trash talk. But Dawson went on and publicly said he could make 168, then signed the contract to make 168, and got his ass beat. All his fault.

Dawson seemed like one of those very physically talented guys that was missing a little something. He was a very good fighter, but it seemed there was some spark or desire that he lacked that the elites have.

The first Glen Johnson fight was a really good fight, BTW
