I know what he's looking to do and I respect it but I'm with you on this one. Would like to see him clean out 154 so certain nikkas in here can stop that "He's only known for beating Spence"

No nikka. He's known for being 4 division champ and 3 division undisputed :umad:

And he would still be known for only beating Spence, as it would still be the best win on his resume. It's a range with that undisputed shyt, Bud falls in the line of an IT professional racking up a bunch of certs in different categories with only one of them really being serviceable/increasing that salary, while the rest of the certs obtained are classified as being some certified bullshyt. Try again.

@chunky_mcdaniels drop some japan recommendations if you get the time, I'm headed out there Monday!! Any hole in the walls you'd recommend and etc
@FreedMind The far east. You timed it nicely tbh, the really hot part of the year is finishing up. :blessed:

A quick list -
  • An e-sim travel card
  • A portable battery for phone/maps
  • Download the Suica App and have it in your wallet on your phone and keep that shyt topped up with Yen. This makes train travel a whole lot easier.
  • A well mannered, quiet and respectful Gaijin is a well tolerated Gaijin. :russ:
I'll write up a better list for you and message it to you direct, save the boxing thread from getting jammed up.

Have you got an itinerary? Or just a trip to Tokyo? How long are you in Japan for?

I'll be there thru mid November, possibly December. So give or take 2 months. Staying in Tokyo, but fully expecting to travel to the usual suspects Osaka Kyoto and Hiroshima.

I am really bad at planning, so a lot is still up in the air. No strict itinerary so to speak.

shyt you're going to have a ball.

Don't worry too much about the planning, it's good to have a rough idea of schedule, but its just as fun making it up as you go.

I'll write you up a good list and send it your way. You got a great amount of time, a lot of options.

with all the talks of shawn porter on an IBHOF ballot why isnt the punisher on one? punisher has a better record and better wins than porter...can't be that lean a year with candidates..esp since im sure there are leftovers on previous ballots that should prolly go in over porter

Neither of them should be in, but I’m sure Porter’s post boxing career probably helps him, as he’s simply more relevant in the minds of voters.

LOL I also think you’re overrating Paul’s career. I know you Stan the guy, but he didn’t really get to craft a HOF career. In fact, I think his poor career management and opponent selection is why I view his career as lackluster.

The Margarito win was undeniable. He went in there and went to war with a Prime Margarito, and clearly beat him. I even think the Wright win was solid. One could argue Wright was past it, but Paul would have overwhelmed him at any point of his career.

Aside from that, his other best wins (Martinez 1, Lara) are fights many felt he lost.

Paul had an exciting style and was a likable guy, but has become one of the most overrated fighters over time.

I thought this guy was on his way to HOF career, but that first Quintana fight left a real bad taste in my mouth.

Too bad Crawford can't be Spence's best win.

LOL!!! i was simply making a case for porter not being HOF since punisher was talked about recently...i never said in the past that punisher should be in the HOF...but a comparison was there to make that point was someone on the ballot vs someone who is not but clearly had a better boxing career...i also mentioned there are guys leftover from previous ballots that should go in before porter

one thing we wont do is say that paul lost the first fight to sergio like its matter of fact....the only thing ppl had a problem with was that truly bad card for paul that was like 10-1-1...but that was no gift or anything

i dont see how he became overrated...no one brings him up like that in this current generation

But to your point Pat, I agree with Punisher being in the Hall.

I think the fact that his career was kinda cut short is what's stopping his induction.

Is beating Quintana, Martinez, Margarito, Wright, and Lara enough to get in? I believe so. But someone somewhere don't think it's enough.
