Norman..zepeda has at least faced some opps...Norman got brand new too quick...if he wanted to face a soft touch in his maiden defense he should have led with that

and the nerve of this nikka too. He has 1 breakout performance after going life and death countless times and he acting this way. :what:

Featherweight contender Ruben Villa (22-2, 7 KOs), 27, a southpaw from Salinas, California, was recently released from his promotional deal with Top Rank, a source with knowledge of the move told Fight Freaks Unite. Top Rank cut him in the wake of his 10-round upset decision loss to unheralded Sulaiman Segawa on July 13. The loss ended Villa’s four-fight winning streak following a highly competitive decision loss to Emanuel Navarrete for the vacant WBO featherweight belt in 2020. Villa’s biggest win was when a decision over Luis Alberto Lopez in 2019 before Lopez went on to have a lengthy title reign.

He admitted he ducked when he said he'd take the offer in Vegas. He knows they can't sell shyt in Vegas so its a no go.

Also if you take 90% of the 1.7 million you'd still have 170k. So anyway you slice it boots is the bigger payday.

Clear duck. Fair offer. More than fair. It's time we ridicule and shame these duckers!
Nikka really declined to headline a major city arena just to fight on the undercard in a small VA venue for LESS money. It makes NO sense. I've been laughing about this shyt all night. The lack of foresight is what's baffling. That could have been Norman's opportunity to make a name for himself in a main event. Had he won, the money would have come eventually. Even if he didn't win, it still would have put his name out there regardless.

He's never getting that type of offer again. Unless he moves up, nobody else at 147 can give him that type of deal. But it's clear they didn't really want the fight. They just used Boots' name as a way to create buzz around Norman. Brian Sr done deleted ALL references to Boots from his IG page. It was game and we all fell for it lol.

I dont think Norman and team “ducked” in the literal sense of being shook. I think they some country ass nikkas who were tryna hit a sweet lick and it didnt work lol.

Because with how they talked money aside this was a bet on yourself situation.

I mentioned earlier that Crawford holding those belts at 147 was purely a chess move

He knew the road to getting a title at 154 would be filled with PBC blocking him from fights and also fighters ducking him. Those 147 belts made it possible to fight for a 154 title immediately when he moved up. He was just waiting for after the Madrimov fight

Now after that win, he's a WBA champion, a WBO champion if Fundora ducks, and a WBC mandatory

Now he can drop all those belts at 147 with no problem
