Yup. He ducked him shamelessly at 135 but now Devin got his profile up… the risk makes more sense :yeshrug:

I just want Shakur to get his mind right and follow the blueprint. Haney went through the BS but look at him now:mjcry:

Love Shakur, but his problem is that he doesn't want to go through the BS to achieve greatness. There's obviously still time though

Chris Algeri said it once on one of his podcasts. No one wants to be a on a highlight reel losing to Shakur and being Shakur's stepping stone to be a top P4P fighter. So they will wait until it is financially viable to take that risk. Shakur gotta go through the weird "I'll fight you if you fight this random dude" type of fights before he can make the big fights. It is what it is

Ryan vs Devin is a huge fight....regardless of what dudes say about Ryan he putting eyes on boxing and making huge fights.......Devin gonna win though :francis:

I honestly agreed with what Floyd suggested for Ryan to get Rollys belts.

Ryans last performance was ass, and the one before that he lost via quitting per the optics at least (losing to Tank isn't a career ender but one would feel from a legacy standpoint you may want to stat pad a little lol).

After Ryan loses to Devin what is next for his legacy? He isn't skilled enough to beat Teo, Prob don't have enough Dog for Matias. And the timeline isn't right to capitalize on a weak 147 and it would look wild to be 3 divisions and never a champ (Tank at least captured WBA Regulars +.1 real)

I can kinda hear where he’s coming from though…
Even though hes handling it terribly.

There’s time to go but he 26. Time to start getting the bigger fight like Devin and Ryan now.

Isn’t he a three division champ? I would feel a type of way too tbh.

Ryan has a large following that don’t really care if he loses. He’s not really a “legacy” fighter if we’re being honest. I don’t think his draw is even based on belts and constant Wins.

He’ll figure something out :manny:

The main thing is that he needs to stop with the outbursts. I know it's tough when damn near 7 fighters duck you for a Fight, but you can't wild out and expect people to see you as likeable. I know it has nothing to do with Boxing skills, but likeability plays alot into endearing yourself with fans. Then you can use the fans' backing to get the fights you want because they will pressure the Promoters

Yeah like I was saying he’s handling it terribly.

You can’t put on a performance like that, keep wolfing on Twitter and then fake retire.

He needs to just lock in and think of a strategy to get to the right fights.

Floyd knows the business of boxing and a plan from Floyd would have been way better for him then the plan Oscar has for him.

I think he got more of a chance with Devin then he did Tank. All he needs to do is make it close and go on to the Roolly vs Isaac Cruz winner. He got a future in boxing and if he can only improve from here on oout.

Dude comes off like an a$$hole. And I get it, they’re fighters or whatever, but you don’t have to always be angry, complaining, cursing fighters, journalists and even fans on twitter, etc. He literally has no one on his side right now outside of hardcore boxing fans who want to see him show off his skills. Other than that, no one really checking for him right now and he has no pull. Sad.

Dude needs to change his attitude and outlook if he wants to land these big fights. Something needs to happen. If not, he’s gonna actually retire and no one will even notice or care.

Strictly from a promotion point of view, he and Davis are in No Man's Land. 140 is the place to be and everybody there are locked into fights right now. Haney/Garcia, Romero/Cruz, Loma/Kambosos, and Matias getting ready for Paro.

Also neither seem to want to move up, even though I believe Stevenson would move up before Davis.

I feel bad for him because that poor of a performances couldn't have come at a worse time. No one left at 135 is going to be running to the ring to fight him

He may as well move up to 140 and let Keyshawn have 135.
