Dude comes off like an a$$hole. And I get it, they’re fighters or whatever, but you don’t have to always be angry, complaining, cursing fighters, journalists and even fans on twitter, etc. He literally has no one on his side right now outside of hardcore boxing fans who want to see him show off his skills. Other than that, no one really checking for him right now and he has no pull. Sad.

Dude needs to change his attitude and outlook if he wants to land these big fights. Something needs to happen. If not, he’s gonna actually retire and no one will even notice or care.

You're a Teo fan as am I (somewhat). Teo is an a$$hole and a weirdo and is getting big fights. So it's not that

I think it's more that Shakur goes on whiny Twitter rants on top of him having a defensive style that isn't the most crowd pleasing

Strictly from a promotion point of view, he and Davis are in No Man's Land. 140 is the place to be and everybody there are locked into fights right now. Haney/Garcia, Romero/Cruz, Loma/Kambosos, and Matias getting ready for Paro.

Also neither seem to want to move up, even though I believe Stevenson would move up before Davis.

I feel bad for him because that poor of a performances couldn't have come at a worse time. No one left at 135 is going to be running to the ring to fight him

The thing is Shakur is just impatient. Moving up to 140 now would be a disaster because he doesn't have a big following on top of no leverage, he can easily be shut out of World title fights... Loma is on the way out. Shakur is only 26. The 135 division can be his and he can re-sign with Top Rank and claim Undisputed at 135 in 3-4 fights. Then he can use that to then move up to 140 with a bigger fanbase and more leverage

He's just too impatient to see that the path is already set for him

You think he fought scary against the Dominican Ghost from Power, imagine he moves to 140 where there are some even bigger killers in the division :heh:

I don't think he's moving up anytime soon bro

1 bad night is not indicative of the type of fighter that Boxer is

- Haney got rocked by Linares and got bullied by a natural 126 pounder in Loma
- Teo got embarrassed by Kambossos
- Tank was scared to exchange against Pitbull
- Etc etc

Like I been saying Shakur being whiny on Twitter is making it easy for fans to pile on and create narratives about him out of thin air

I would normally agree but he's starting to show a pattern when he's in with someone that isn't pillow fisted or a little athletic lol. Are you forgetting the Nakathila fight? Or what about Joet Gonzalez? And please don't use the brother of his girl excuse because if the Ghost & Nakathila fights never happened, I'd believe him having an off night. He fought scared against Ghost bro; like he doesn't trust his chin or he's been dropped in sparring & knows he can't take shots

Huh, he fought scared against Joet Gonzalez? Did you even watch the fight? :dead: :dead: :dead: :deadrose: . Dude put on a defensive masterclass

Last time I checked Robson Conseciao and Yoshino are not pillow fisted and Shakur stood right in front of them and either TKO'd them or got a couple knockdowns on them. You are all over the place lol

He fought barely engaged. Did YOU watch that fight or were you wearing your Young Makaveli glasses like right now :heh:

I don't think you can be objective when it comes to him. You were in the fight thread when he fought Ghost live with the juezling that night lol

Am I buggin lol? I only watched this fight once & it was when it aired. All I remember is Shakur jabbing & taking steps back for the most part. No real exchanges or him pressing the action. I know Gonzalez was outclassed

Wrong. Teo is SUPER chill, fan friendly and even supportive of other fighters (even to Shakur in his last fight). Met Shakur and Teo a few times over the years and it’s night and day.

You don't have to get reinforcements :mjlol:

The art and game of Boxing is hit and not get hit. Boxing isn't always a Gatti-Ward trilogy

Maybe you're partial to rockem-sockem robot boxing, but I'm more of a fan of the sweet science. It is what it is

Shakur outclassed him but considering what the buildup was it was disappointing..Shakur should have punished that racist
